My car has been stock for a year. I'm loving it, but I am thinking of adding Borla UEL headers and a Perrin exhaust sometime in the future.

It's only a matter of time until the mod bug gets the majority of us. Many many people on here started out intending to keep the car stock, the struggle is real.

Oh, I did some minor mods; a touch screen radio/nav system - helps me find my way home; an axle back exhaust - still have some 50's left in me .....

I have a few minor mods, most of which were purchased from my local Toyota dealer. Could a TRD exhaust and intake be considered stock? They were an option... I can't leave anything totally stock.

As for the never-ending, never-satisfied type of project, that's what my Mustang is for.

K&N Filter and planned upgrade to brake fluid, brake pads, and rubber because I'm beating the hell out of it every couple of months so guess I'm excluded.

Mine is stock and will stay mostly that way (I have headlights, taillights and a catback on the way) until the warranty expires. I really want to mod it (serious engine/drivetrain stuff) but a big part of why I bought a new car was for the warranty, and that's how my budget is setup. At least this way I can see what others do and learn what works and what doesn't.

Completing stock 14 here. I don't plan on doing anything to it since it's a lease.

I like the look of stock. I don't know if Series 1.0 counts though.

But there are a few things I'd like to do some time in the future:
Tint windows
OEM fog lights
Try black plastidip on wheels
Underpanels
Cupholder (this is a serious issue)

Why would Series 1 not count? Different stock yes but just as stock as stock, stock!

Seeing more and more guys that want to stay stock on here all the time lately. Now that could change once they have the car a while and it isn't quite as new and exciting.
I consider the TRD stuff stock for the most part. Not in the essence of the word but more so that its genuine to Toyota and the options were given at the dealership.....not some online Chinese website

I probably wont do any mods until after I pay off the car, and once I do, I will probably only mod when a factory part gives out (Air filter, tires, ect.)
Holy crow and I thought I was the only one!

I am 100% right behind you with my FRS being stock and likely will be till it is paid off. Also like you, it will be the only car I will ever buy new and I am going to take my time modding this car. So far I've replaced the air filter with a K&N because the stock paper one was dirty, bought some Diode Dynamics LED stuff, and I have a 5AD spoiler needing to be painted and mounted. <$100 mods for now. The car will likely stay like this for the next 4 years as it is also my daily driver and it does well at that in stock trim. I don't need two projects as my mr2 is still has not reached its goal.

So for now, my FRS will be bone stock with wet dreams of a turbo setup and all the goodies.

It's beautiful just the way it is.

I worry about oil temp so there's an oil cooler in my future. I figured out the clutch issue. That's it.

Yeah, I'm sure that's all.

...I think.

I am torn on the subject actually.
Yes, maybe it is "stock" because TRD is Toyota so not really after market parts.
But... on the other hand, since it isn't as it came from the factory so did the dealer just mod my car for me?
But... I didn't ask for those parts they were already on the car (showroom demo for TRD add ons) so is it actually stock after all?
Damn I have even confused myself at this point!
