I'm just gonna do bluetooth streaming, forget playing with that headunit. That is appallingly bad. It's more laggy at entering addresses than the nav in my 2006 legacy, and that unit is 7 years old! Incredible. Good thing us BRZ folks aren't paying extra for this system or I would be pissed.

Based on the video, I render a judgement of "meh." Could be worse. The interface seems straightforward, even it has an incredibly ugly 90's freeware feel. |

I am unimpressed by this. In fact it makes me a bit sad...
For the GPS, are in dash GPSs always this bad? it seem slow and clunky compared to my cheapo Garmin and TomTom units... Do they ever have firmware updates for these? On the music side, I currently have a GROM iPod adapter where I just plug in my iPod, set it to shuffle and skip through songs until I hear one I want to listen too. As long as I can do that, I'll be ok with this unit. Otherwise, I might just have to replace this beast once I get the car. |

This head unit was one of the few reason why I decided to go BRZ over FR-S. It's very dated. FR-S Bespoke with its app abilities blows this out of the water. I'm disappointed.

Hahaha, what are you talking about. BeSpoke has the slowest, least accurate voice recognition ever and it can't even navigate.

Thanks for the post F1point4 - especially your effort in trying to show and focus the SD card in the end, haha. Speaking of the SD card, can anyone confirm whether that specific SD must be inserted when using the GPS for the map data? Can the map data from the SD card be transferred to another larger SD card so that songs can be played from the SD card too?

android GPS/DVD system
![]() ![]() if you have your 3G GSM sim card inserted, you could send email/surf the web or play some internet-based apps. Last edited by 8987846; 05-09-2012 at 02:04 AM. |
