Just noticed that my FPR order says -10 ports when I ordered -6 ports and also my flywheel bolts didn't ship with that same order. I'm going to be royally pissed if these parts aren't what I ordered. The flywheel bolts are literally holding me back from putting everything in and getting my fab guy started.
Considering I ordered parts that weren't on any Black Friday deal, it shouldn't be any problem getting them shipped out. Gotta be kidding me that the most headache is caused by wrong parts being ordered. The entire rest of the process has been rather smooth. |

Haha, I suppose a small update could work.
If you look under the alternator, you'll see the trans down there. I had my valve covers, intake manifold (upper and lower), engine hoist brackets, and throttle cable brackets all powdercoated recently by my buddy @Maverick22. I refinished my coil brackets in a satin black, cleaned the coils themselves and installed/wired those. I ran the wiring through the firewall and did rough cable routing. I will not be running A/C until the car is up and driving. I'm trying to limit the amount of things I have to worry about at the moment. I purchased this kit http://www.driftmotion.com/product-p/dm2082.htm to run no A/C or PS pump. Under the drivers tire is my fuel return line. I stayed up late last night working on my fuel system. I kept trying to figure out the best way to retain the stock fuel lines but it simply adds too many fittings. The stock setup runs a 3/8'' line from the fuel pump assembly, Tees to two 3/8'' down the frame, then hooks up to the FA20. If I kept that, I would have to Tee down to a single -8/-10 to an inline filter, then Tee back out to two -6. That's just too many fittings (I'm running mostly Aeroquip, w/ Earl's and Fragola odds and ends). I ended up buying -8 AN feed which will split to dual -6 with a -6 return. Back to the trans, my fab guy came today. The v160 will not fit without modification to the tunnel as @Drift&Drag pointed out to me. We'll be fixing that this weekend. We're brainstorming ideas but nothing terribly difficult. I'm still all green for start-up next week. Most likely be next weekend. The past week has been Christmas, literally, every day. |

So, as I said before, I upgrade my feed/return lines. Need to buy MORE fittings (holy christ) as well.
I picked up this fitting to utilize the stock FRS feed fitting and open it to a -8 AN all the way forward. This is how you install it, very straight forward. This type of quick-disconnect fitting is better because it will not/cannot disconnect due to vibrations. (NOTE: The chances of that happening are slim to none, but I am upgrading my line size so it's warranted). Installed. Neat thing about the stock fuel rail brackets. The outboard (stainless braided line to the right as you're looking at this photo) bracket support fits a -6 AN perfectly. However, in order to utilize this spot you need to remove your stock fuel rails. The -8 AN feed line will be fully secured with brackets (zip-ties temporary. Lowes was closed and I didn't have the hardware on hand). |
