Oh yeah, that too! My eclipse did the same thing with the idle servo but the hang time wasn't nearly as bad.

Use your warranty while you still can because once you're out of warranty it'll cost you money. I had my whole transmission replaced ~$6,700 toyota warrantied and they give you a free rental car

I've been driving M/T all throughout my life and FR-S always felt funny and I keep telling myself I'm adjusting to it. Every time I reach my destination and get out of the car, I feel like I'm burning through the clutch or something because of the smell and feel of the transmission during driving.

don't want to hijack the thread, but can those who got their transmission replaced briefly explain their symptoms and how they managed to get the dealer to incur such a highly replacement cost?
