Flood damage to go with the missing rear window? Where was the car on what day and look up a weather report. 2" of rain and a missing rear window wont be a good thing.

Now, as a candidate to stuff a proper LSX engine and gearbox into the hole, it would be a good deal. I suspect the engine and gearbox would be easy enough to sell to someone who lost a an engine to the injector seals.

Was not in flood since the comment was positive for no "flood damage".

Yea no flood damage reported but it very well could have been drenched through the back seats. But this would of been a short period of time. And over the back seats is not nearly as much of a concern (to me) as the front dash

Being rain water as opposed to flood water it would be "clean". Much of the concerns with flood damage is that the electrical system can be completely shorted out from submersion and all the contamination from dirty flood waters.
Getting wet from being rained on is not the same as getting wet from flood damage.
If it were the case then there would be scrap yards full of written off convertibles that had the top left down at the wrong time.
Having owned several convertibles and had every one of them saturated by rain at some point I have first hand experience they can survive quite a soaking.

a friend of mine just bought a dirt cheap 2013 vw golf, it was also totaled from hail damage. it looked like those ugly shiftknobs they have.

he bought the car, spent a marginal amount of money on some tools and learning, fixed it right up. he's very happy so far :]

Crazy how new cars get totaled from the hail like that. But the dent he fixed in the one link looks really good. If he can fix majority of them then it would look real nice. He probably got it real cheap to

his advice is make sure that front window is the OEM registered windshield. if some shop replaced the windshield after it was busted they might be trying to cover up interior water damage which is never worth it. he also said you should get at least 30% off of KBB if it's JUST hail damage only.
