Use quattrotire . com

I bought 4 Yokohama ip52c tires for around $600 (205/50/17), I didnt buy wheels but I believe they sell them for very low prices as well. Shipping cost $6 and they arrived in less than a week.

Talk to Zook at simply tire, he's the one who handles the group buys on the forums. I picked up my set last year with Hankook Ipike 409s for 650 w/ everything

I just got Firestone Winterforce from a member on here. Awesome tires.

However, I was heading up a back country road near my house last night that hadn't been salted yet. Didn't really lose traction anywhere else on my drive, but as I was heading up this road (only doing 85 in an 80 because of the road condition), all of a sudden out of nowhere the rear of the car tried to step out...while I was doing 85km/h...with DEEP ditches on both sides...TC light didn't come on or anything, and I hadn't applied any more throttle input to cause it to break traction.

Scared the SHIT out of me. I've been in cars going fast sideways before, but it was so unexpected. Took it a lot slower on that road the rest of the way after that. That was the only time during my 45+ minute drive home last night that I had any unintended (wink wink nudge nudge) loss of traction.

Then 5 minutes later, I almost smoked a massive deer that jumped out in front of me. Needless to say, one of my more...interesting drives home.

Snow tires don't make you invincible, so drive within reason based on the conditions.

That being said, get snow tires ASAP. The one drive home on summers during the first snow-storm was one of the scariest drives of my life, and the car would lose traction almost immediately with very little throttle input.

First RWD as well and running on Blizzaks ws80 (highly recommend). Initially I would only lose traction in the really bad streets, but then I added some weight in the rear and now I'm golden. It felt as if I was 'hovering' around w/o the weight in the rear.
