Just want to check if anybody is running with the Cusco Zero-3X or the Aragosta Type S coils?been googling but most reviews are on a different platform.

Well... for not being up on lift, there was only so much leverage I could exert to try and tighten-up both nuts. There was some movement (i.e., tightening) and after a bit of AM driving -- over the usual roads that produce the noise, it does seem to less.... maybe almost 80-90% less... but I'll try to keep tabs on this over the next couple of days and see if the "fix" holds up.
Update: Nope... after a day of driving around.. the crunching sound is back... arggh. Doing more reading on the forum and finding multiple threads about end link binding... sounds very similar to what I'm hearing. One thing that I'm going to look into is that the replacement end links are different (not only that they are shorter...) in that the mounting points swivel -- and I'm wondering if it is this movement that is making the crunching sound -- i.e., maybe one or both "swivel" are bad (since left side is not making the noise). Update: Huzzah!! Found the offending nut on the end link (at one of the adjusting ends...) that was tightened the wrong way!! Instead of being tightened down onto the shaft, it was tightened UP to the ball joint -- "grinding" against the outside of the ball joint. Fixed... and now the suspension is QUIET!! Wow.. what a learning experience!

@Racecomp Engineering So I just installed HKS MAX IV SP coilovers and now I'm getting some squeaking noise from the front when going over speed bumps. No alignment done yet as I'm giving it a week to settle. Any ideas? It sounds like this kinda

Not sure if this question has been answered, I apologize if it has been answered. I am trying to chose between these 3 coil overs.
1. RSR Sports-I 2. Tein Monosport 3. RCE T2 This set up is mostly just for street use, spirited canyon runs and an occasional track day or two. Also, not looking to lower the car more than 15mm. Can you guys recommend which is best for my application? *Please note, I am a beginner when it comes to suspension. Thank you all for such a great thread |

Thanks for all the insights!! Now... here's camber situation...
Rear camber: Lt. -2.1 / Rt. -2.3 Front camber: Lt. -1.1 / Rt. -1.2 * This is the best match the alignment shop could do with the camber plates. So... car is DD. Every chance I can, I'm on the twisty backroads having fun. With aspirations of fitting in some HPDE in 2015 after I beef up the brakes. My lay-opinion today is that the car handles great. But... any additional insight is appreciated. I'm got 17 x 8.0 TSW Interlagos (+35) with Michelin PSS 225/45 (square). - Leave as-is? See how the tire wear goes? - Add some bushings to front to get more negative? - Add some bushings -- or adj. LCA -- to rear to reduce negative?

Tire temps will tell you what you need. Invest in a simple pyrometer to get started. You don't need one with ultra-2000-memories, just a simple instantaneous temp reader and write it down on a sheet of paper. Analyze the temps, then adjust as needed.

Hi, I have a set of coilovers but unsure of spring rate.
On the springs they are marked: 160-8.5 (front) 180-07 (rear) Can someone please tell me the spring rate in kg's? Thanks

I have a question that's probably been asked somewhere in these 100 pages…
![]() I have a 2014 BRZ that I have had for a little over 2 months now. I don't race or autocross, but I do enjoy and appreciate having a car that is responsive and handles well with a reasonable level of ride comfort. The factory setup meets my needs, but I would like to lower my car a little (for looks) and install a better looking set of wheels (17" or 18"). What can you recommend for my situation? There must be a simple path I can take. I was considering the RCE Yellow springs, but then I see discussion about adjusting camber, installing crash bolts, bushings and lower control arms and i become paralyzed. Please provide some suggestions.
