Guys I too am looking for SVXdc harness.
My brother in law is very good with a soldering iron and electronic diagram savy. Is there any guides online to how to build my own harness? When I look at the pictures, it looks very simple, something you can get from radioshack even.

Yes. That is the harness that I have on my BRZ. It works great!

Are you asking if the trigger wire is needed on our cars?

The BRZ has the trigger wire already. I believe the FRS does not have the trigger wire from the factory.

GT86 cars in Europe with the TAS300 head unit already have the trigger (+12V reverse gear signal) connected.

I understand then that this kit is enough, and would plug and play?
http://www.ebay.es/itm/261662886080?...84.m1423.l2649

and could also be a combination of this piece
http://www.ebay.es/itm/121479363404?...84.m1423.l2649
and this camera?
http://www.ebay.es/itm/141314675831?...84.m1423.l2649

Without any additional wiring trigger?

do not understand why in this kit there is a connection to the connector 10 pin connector and one for 16pin, and other kits there is only one connector.
http://autoharnesshouse.com/19867.html

in that other kit there is only one connector to the head unit.

It looks like it's getting power from one plug and video signal going into the other. The eBay one might require you to make the power connection on your own.

For more details about wiring visit svxdc's site, he sells harnesses to accomplish backup cam. I bought a cam for about $2 on eBay as well as his harnesses and the cam works perfectly with OEM radio and 100% plug n play after a little bit of soldering... Do not spend a lot of money on this lol

Any thoughts on how [ame=http://www.amazon.com/PAC-CAM-TY11-Reverse-Camera-T-Harness/dp/B00KWLA3T0/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1416419661&sr=8-2&keywords=reverse+harness+scion]this[/ame] compares to the SVXdc harness?

It should work, you might just want to confirm pins are in the correct locations. And the power line in that will only work if you cam is 6-volt. You could use it as a trigger for a relay if your cam is 12v..as I did in my setup.
