Well its been discontinued and Greddy is working on a new slight redesign so maybe they will fix the drone issue, as thats the #1 complaint..
What did i do to fix my rattles and vibrations??? i took it off lol.. Dezod is on there now. but in my eyes the Evo3 is the best looking exhaust out.. after 1.5-2 years i just got tired of it.. -Thomas Last edited by 86SPEED; 10-24-2014 at 06:35 PM. |

^hahaha that's one way to deal with it! Well I've only had this exhaust for a few months so I don't think I will be swapping exhaust anytime soon.
I hope the redesign will include a titanium tip version...that's one of the things I missed when I swapped from my Q300 to the EVO3.

So I have done a few things. I have the Manzo, Greddy knock off. Dont hate, I got it used for under 200 dollars just to see if I wanted a 3" exhaust or not. Answer is No I dont want a 3" exhaust haha.
So I know drive 6 hours, 95% highway, every other Friday, and this exhaust is will cause hearing loss due to drone and noise. While it sounds bad ass driving around town and I can tolerate it for an hour or two, the 6 hour drives are hard to deal with What I have done so far: Sound deadening, I will find the link were I posted what I did. I used a building product that is identical to the sound deadening mat minus the shiny aluminum face. Proctecto Wrap was the Brand name, and it is like ice and water shield, and is used to seal off houses around windows and doors and on roofs. I put down two layers since it was a thin material. Cost me under $20 Dollars a roll. Like I said, same exact material as Protecto's sound deadening mat, minus the aluminum face, so if you are covering it all up anyways, save the money. Next, when I put my car back together, I hid the rear seat belts behind the interior panels. I did this 4 months ago give or take, and I have needed a belt for a 3rd person once. This helps when the windows are down as well, but if you drive with others its not realistic. Next, I did the TSB to fix the rear deck. This is where I was getting most of my rattles and noises from. There is a good DIY guide on this site, and it can be done quickly and cheaply. I still need to sound deaden the fron half of my car, and I know that will make a huge difference for exhaust noise and road noise in general. I was wondering if exhaust wrap on the mid pipe would help at all or not? ultimately I am ditching the exhaust when I find a good one for sale on the forums. Hope this helps some. |
