Why do people even worry about this?

It's "exotic", a little scary and it's the Press Disease of the Week.

That said, it is worth taking precautions against. Hopefully the good that will come out of this outbreak is there will be an effort to finish up the vaccine/treatments that have proven useful.

Here is a good read:

Two doctors that would be on my side of the argument regarding being "concerned".

One person that wrote about some supposed doctors on a website that looks like it is straight out of AOL in 1991 with absolutely no real authorities supporting anything.
I can probably find 1000 such blogs right alongside the other extremist topics!

As far as I am concerned if it is not an official WHO statement it is bunk regardless of which side of the argument it is on.

How can you blatantly ignore and deny the facts that it is not ravaging the US and is under control or completely cleared in Africa?

Liberia reported a drop in new cases of Ebola today.

Granted, could just be a drop in reporting as well, but the trend over there is towards a decline in new cases.

Just started to skim the article, but I have to disagree with this phrase: "previously unheard-of level of silence." I'm positive I've heard this level of silence before.
