Some ahole stole my entire tool box..... And when I report to police they asked me if I have insurance on them..... That was one of the saddest day of my life.

I lost my dad when I was 15. Most of my tools are his. I grew up handing them to him.

Lost my dad when I was 52. Most of the tools he had were mine. Rest of the family scooped everything and I got none of my stuff back.

oh gawd dont turn all depressed thread on us guys on the flip side @Tcoat, damn I didn't know you were that old

I lost my grandpa and all the cool old tools he used to use that are now obsolete. There were times when I was little I would run into his garage and grab a tool and go ask him what it was for, normally he'd give me some made up horrendously awesome story about how he used it to kill and/or tame some wild animal or something to that effect.

I think you would be surprised just how many of us on here are "older".
Not always the ones you would expect either.

I wouldn't really trust a Subaru tech further than I could throw him either. Back when I had a WRX, I took my car in for the raw fuel smell TSB at what everyone says is hands down the best local subaru dealership (Hodges in Ferndale, MI if you're from the metro Detroit area), they left a bunch of junk unhooked when they put the TMIC back on. I believe a crankcase vent hose, and for sure they left my boost gauge / BPV line unhooked so it compressor surged super bad when I picked it up.

a short while later, they did the same TSB on my ex-girlfriend's car, and fucked up basically exactly the same way. I had the dude that brought the car around watch as I popped the hood and within 10 seconds found the crankcase vent hose unplugged and fixed it for them, then told them to get their fucking shit together. I was either 18 or 19 at the time, you'd kind of hope that the techs that are the "best around" would know better than a dumbass kid...
