Anyone with VIS Racing AMS Hood Installed?

I'm considering purchasing one to better vent the heat in the engine compartment. I drive in Socal NASA HPDE events and my Phantom ESC tends to overheat. I now have air piping in from the front fog light area but I want to make sure I vent the hot air out.

Questions for those who own or have owned this hood.

1.) How was the installation and fit/gaps? Any issues?

2.) Do I need hood pins?
(Since I believe this hood is heavier than stock, I'm hoping no is the answer)

3.) Any pictures of the hood installed?

Thanks in advance!

1) Installation = 15 minutes, no problems at all. All of the cowl plastics and rubber headlight seals from the factory hood can be used if you drill the required holes (not needed but I did it anyway for completeness). Fit was flawless, no gaps at all and it sits flush with the fenders.

2)No, the VIS hood is actually more structurally sound than the stock hood at high speeds. As in there is no noticeable lift like there is with the stock hood. This is partly due to the fact the AMS is venting the underhood psi.

3)Yes, search VIS AMS and there is a thread where I put a bunch of pics in it. If there is something specific you are looking for let me know.

Update:
- Contacted forum member js0uth via PM and multiple text messages - no response after a week
- Contacted forum member Deedz who was selling the hood for $630 picked up. Had a pickup arranged but at the last minute he was unable to get the hood and flaked.
- Quickly contacted forum member js0uth again via text and he responded - $600 picked up
- Drove two hours to pickup the hood and js0uth sent me a text message that his buddy flaked and therefor he was flaking on me...UGH!
- Since I was only 10 minutes away from VIS I contacted them directly. They price matched body kits depot's pricing of $588 for the BRZ hood (same as FRS but oddly priced cheaper).
- 10 minutes later I picked up my brand new hood for $640 after tax

To answer my own questions:
1.) Fit is great. Gaps are even and installation took ~15 minutes, taking my time.

2.) I purchased AeroCatch hood latches but I don't think they are needed. On the track and at high speeds the hood seems to be very stable, especially with the vents providing some downforce. I will probably return the latches instead of cutting into this beauty.

3.) Here are some installed pics. I was going to paint the hood to match but I'm really liking the subtle contrast with the Ultramarine blue.

Is the firestorm the same color as lightning red for the brz? And whats your cost?

Sounds all good structurely but more important are these real pass through vents? I've seen a few pictures of underside and it does not appear to be so this would be nice to know if louvers are for looks or some actual function? Also this under panel does look like it can be removed and if so how much hassle is involved? Guess I am trying to understand this design better as the underneath looks like a whole tray system, I hear folks saying "it has rain guards", ok well how exactly do they work, and if in place is there any heat coming out of engine bay or do rain guards need to be removed? And if so of course whats all involved?

I know this is a stupid question, but are there any issues with the vented hood in the rain?

I know you can wash the engine bay, but you tend to stay away from certain parts with the water. Especially with the DI ECU in the engine bay.

VIS has trays so no there shouldn't be issues.

No issues with water or rain. The issue, which I didn't expect, is the sun. My black KW supercharger mounting plate is turning from black to a tarnished gold color where it's exposed to the sun through the grates. I think I'll put on the rain guards just to stop that from happening more.
