Someone might have asked this before already, but can I still use the OFT just for data logging even if I'm on ecutek?
Logging with ecutek would require taking laptop into car yes? Whereas logging with OFT is much simpler. |

I think so, but Tactrix might be a cheaper route if you don't need a real-time display.

Tactrix or oft should work as long as the ecutek guys ut rhe info in the same ram addresses as the standard roms. logging reads a specific ram address. The ecutek guys mess round with the program a fair bit with map switching and racerom features ect but may still use same ram addresses. If you know someone with ecutek tune plug your oft in see if it will log, it will log any brz/86 will only write to married car once your on ecutek dont use oft/tactrix to write or you will write over you ecutek licience in the rom of your ecu |

hey guys , just wondering if anyone has a fix for this.
I'm still able to upload files onto the ecu with the OFT but i can do live diagnostic, everytime i try it just says "please update template" so i went on the oft site and downloaded their latest template from the download section, updated the tablet and still says the same thing. any idea?

@vishnu
Why does the Base idle timing (above RPM threshold) table stop at 2000RPM and then continues onto numbers like 2.####E##. I was trying to add higher rpms and retarding the timing in them but after the checksum fix, the whole table goes completely out of wack. The guys over at romraider's forum were able to edit the table without any issue, is it not recommended or something?

STOP - you may be using wrong definition for your tune file. For V2 OFT tunes you must use defs that come with the tune download file, do not use the V1.5 defs. |
