Chinese OEM wheels/tires

Hey,
I just got my Toyota 86, it comes with 205/55/16 yokohama tires here, dont know the wheel width. I am planning to get some 17*9 concave wheels with 245/40 neovas, i read that there would be no problem about fitment with stock suspension and coilovers but just concerned if cars they export to China has different setup.
Does anyone have information?

Your 16" wheels would be identical to the JDM "G" spec, as well as the AUDM "GT" spec. Wheels are 6.5" wide with +48 offset.

I doubt the suspension setup would differ for the relatively small numbers they expect to sell in the Chinese market. Even the AUDM models get JDM spec suspension, and we're the 3rd highest selling market for this car.

I didnt know that there were 16" wheels in Europe (AUDM=Europe domestic market?).
I guess you are right about Chinese market, didnt see much, but not sure, the quantity souldnt be underestimated.

So you guess setup would be same and i can fit 17*9s to stock setup without problem, right?
And are the 245/40/17 neovas ok, couse i heard that they are wider than standard, or should i go with 235s?

The reason i want 9" width is mostly visual, want to have concave faces but there are no concaves lower than 9"s, partly traction, will install supercharger soon. Not going to push the car to limits on daily driving, maybe one trackday every month or two and will not be competitive, just for fun.

On stock suspension you will need offset under +40, or you may rub, this is more or less generally noted by most here. Alignment (camber) dependent as well.

I'd swap my stock 17"s for your stock 16" in a minute. Too bad we're separated by an ocean. Skype only works for calls, sadly.

Better ride, but still OEM. Be special in America, where nobody has those wheels.
