As long as you complete traffic school and get the certificate to the DMV, no point will go on your record. That is as long as you haven't been getting a lot of tickets within a certain amount of time.

We're quite diverse in the GTA... not just ricer azn bois...
Also mullet-jocks in 'Stangs, Explorers/Tahoes/Escalades (I know, right?), and middle-eastern or Russian kids in Civics, RSXs, etc.

In general, XY-chromosomes and youth seem to be a bad mix behind the wheel. More horsepower than sense/skill to handle them.

I suggest you do traffic school, pay and clear the ticket then your record will be clean, zero point....then call wawanesa mention nothing about your citation though it has been cleared....Wawa tend not to accept young drivers 25 yrs old or younger even though they are clean....I know it's a b!tch but that is how they do things....back then I have been trying to get in for years but they keep rejected me cux of my past regardless all has been cleared....then my wife has wawa so I piggyback onto her
But once you are in, yea, you can save load of $$$$$$

I forgot to mention if you clear your ticket, you will have to go through the next 18 months w/o any traffic citation and if you get another in that time span that 1 is there to stay, can't clear it by anyway.....the only way for it to drop, be clean the next 18 months start from the ticketing date and so on.

Cuz it is There's other "offbrand" insurance companies, but I'm not sure about how good their coverage or customer service is. Also, Wawanesa made me feel special, cuz you have to "apply" and get "approved" before they sell it to ya, lolz. Feels kinda like a cool kids' club once you're in :P

I work in insurance and been chiming in the other thread about the BRZ insurance thread. Reiterating what I said there, I hadn't found any companies that have the Subaru BRZ in their system, so I've had to quote it manually (typing in the year/make/model/etc. and choosing the appropriate symbol), though one or two carriers actually had the Scion FR-S already in their systems. (As a side note, if the car isn't yet in an insurance company's database, having a VIN doesn't make getting a quote any easier.)

The best I could find so far (using my own information as a guinea pig) was $1,171.90 for a 12-month policy with the following stats:

28 year-old male, single, college educated, clean driving record
Orange County, CA
100/300/100 liability coverage
100/300 UMBI
$5,000 medical payments
$250 comprehensive deductible
$500 collision deductible
7,000-8,000 miles annually (which is accurate for me)
Auto/renters discount

It was the lowest I could find, though the one carrier (Foremost Insurance, part of Farmers) that I remember off the top of my head that actually had prepared rates for the Scion FR-S specifically was something like $800-900 every six months for the same coverage.

This is what it sounded like the GEICO rep had to do for my FR-S quote as well. Since you are in insurance, do you expect the quote to change at all when it is officially in the system? I only ask because the insurance for my last car, an RX-8, was a tad lower than what is being quoted for the FR-S and that seems odd.

Haha... I'll answer that with a big, fat YES. But if you get your FR-S insured when they are quoting the car manually, any rate adjustments won't be reflected on your policy until your next renewal. But knowing the car and the demographic it is marketed toward and/or appeals to, I'd bet that the rates are going to increase, though the increase will obviously be more significant to the younger crowd.
