LMK how it goes! *Fresh batteries need a few days of DD cycling to format.

Just pointing out that it looked larger to me in the pictures. And you left out the important part of the quote: "I hope it will do the job :P". Wherein the :P converts a concern into sarcasm.

I just thought the .5 pack wires would be the same size as the 1.0 pack wires, but I guess the current output from the .5 pack is much smaller than the full size pack. Not much of a problem, I'll just cap'em and zip tie them to the harness to keep them out of the way. I will say that I think you need a stronger glue on the .5 battery block. It may be intentional to allow for inspection and/or maintenance, and once it is taped to the batteries it won't matter, but the bottom plate to the block just fell off when I took it out of the bag. It stuck back together with little pressure, but just thought I'd point it out.

I don't believe it is. The most up to date instructions are on the website.

Thanks

Full throttle Electric Supercharger Build Thread

Ok believe or not I read the whole thread. Information overload. I came across it while looking for information about the Jackson racing supercharger but never made it there . I just want to make sure I'm getting my information right. The tq250 produces 205hp on 91 octane? The tq300 is still secretive but should be available this spring?
Fenton: nice work on keeping this thread going. This is the best read on cars I can afford in a long time. Being I'm from Saskatoon with family I'm Calgary, you still willing to give people rides to check out that supercharger.
Rob: great job on such an innovated product.
I'm looking at buying an frs in the spring and was just doing my home work because let's face it , stock $uc/$.

Edit: I don't mean the car $uc/$ stock just I don't like owning anything stock. Stock $u /$ is just motor sports saying in my world.

researching upgrades before you own the car. you're my kind of peoples

Also fenton, I couldn't hold back so I did most of the install in my driveway. I don't have the batteries here so I will have to grab them later, but what are the "do nots" I should know about? I remember something about not turning on the system while moving? or was it don't turn it on under WOT? I would assume it's don't turn it off or on under WOT, but as there isn't really a usage guide I want to make sure I don't mess anything up.

With the new switch it should turn off and on with the car so no worries really

True, but I'm thinking about the out of the ordinary scenarios. Like I know I shouldn't hit it under ~2000 rpm in high gear, maybe even 2500. I think I shouldn't turn the system on/off while moving due to the DR calibration (I'm guessing on this one). I shouldn't turn the system on/off while activated or a spike may kill the controller. I just want a list of "do not do this" because I test things out by experimenting. Even if I leave it on and the relay turns it on/off by itself, I'll probably find a way to do something I shouldn't. Plus I think something like this should be sent out with the installation guide anyway. As I kinda consider myself a beta tester, I want to offer feedback or concerns that could go to making the product better.

My biggest "do not" would be: do not forget to tie wrap the harness away from the exhaust manifold (header). Or it will get melted.

Do not go WOT below 2krpm in 4th 5th or 6. In 5th and 6th I would even say do not go WOT until above 3k. You will see what I mean when you do it one time by accident. It technically works just fine but it is soooo much stress on the engine.

Turning the system on and off while driving normally is totally fine. You don't want to turn it off or on when accelerating...especially at WOT.

The system is actually very powerful so learning how that power comes on is key to mastering it. For example.... In stock form I could do a left turn WOT and the back end would not step out unless I flicked the car on purpose. With the phantom on this thing will light the tires up all day

Yes. I usually build sleds and I usually have all the parts before the new sled arrives. My friends think I'm crazy because I'll chop something up before any miles are on it. This will be the first car I build. The ESC seams like it would be a nice fit in this build.

Nice going!

I'm sure you have lots of this stuff, but this is what most comes to mind.
1. Captions/call-outs with arrows pointing at notables would be great.

2. Most logical order of installation (specifically where you noted about wiring the batteries in series to prevent arching).

3. Best practice for attaching the controller to the engine bay with the provided bolts and rubber grommet.

4. Best practice for attaching the compressor to the factory airbox for near flush fit and aligning it with the TB(?) to ensure proper fit and airflow.

5. Highlight (once again) securing the arm switch/voltmeter display wires well away from the overpipe (including myself I think there were 3 maybe 4 failures here).

6. ESC boot up audible indicatiors (just the correct state and fault code "beep" series (if you can re-create it for the video).

7. The process for resetting "DR Sensor" (i.e. where and when to blow).

8. Minimal uninstall for "on-road" use <cough dealer visit>

9. List of necessary tools and their dimensions (for wrenches/sockets).

10. A non vertigo-inducing shot of the throttle pedal switch mounting point.

11. You running against a stock '86 if anyone cares to volunteer

That's about it for now. I'll PM if anything else comes to mind.

Plus one on the run with stock. You could either start or finish with the video with that. That would stop all those "this doesn't work"

I would say the start after you introduce it...."this is the performance you get"
