Clicking Sound From Rear (Axle?)

I finally took a video where you can really hear the click. It has been clicking more consistently the past few weeks (clicking started 9 months ago) and it now sometimes clicks into second and third gear. Toyota dealer said they have no idea what it is (according to them it's a Subaru so they don't know the car). Any help?

Have you tried re-torquing the axle nuts?

Should be a fifteen minute job at the dealership from what I've heard, should fall under the powertrain warranty (5 years, 60,000 miles). Several people with a clicking noise from the rear end have had this done with success.

I told them to do exactly that. Instead they tightened the bolts on my slid plate and engine cover, lol. Then they said the car's a subaru and they don't have any experience with it.

Same dealer also told me the clutch squeak noise is normal and they don't want to replace the clutch.

I'll go back again and tell them, once again, to tighten the axle nut. I'm worried it's the axle.

Had the same issue, removed axle nuts, swapped left and right (so the stake is in a different spot), and torqued to specification.

Temporary fix while I had new axle nuts on order (they are one time use and should be replaced when removed according to the service manual).

Fixed the clicking noise.

I just had a second axle replaced this week. My left axle was replaced at 15k and the right axel at 35k miles under warranty for cracks.

How often did you hear the clicks? Mine is making a weird clicking sound when either reversing, after I'm in 1st, and after I'm in 2nd. Its odd. Taking it to the dealer in the morning.
