I would love a PM with this info too please. The JRSC is top of my list right now and I'd love to put some info behind this with both opinions and data

Don't get me wrong. A Jackson SC sounds like a lot of fun. CSG has battle tested it, as have many others. The Innovate thread is filled with complaints. Kraftwerks too.

I've driven many mobile vehicles in my lifetime from Vons handicap carts to buses to 750HP C6Z06 and 800HP GTRs. The definition of slow is 55 passengers in this puppy, but I'm pretty sure most people do not have the same experiences.

For the record, the 800HP GTR felt slow, but the speeds that I saw were not slow...

which headunit is supplied with the JRSC kit? I'd like to see 300whp on 93. I've been assuming that a full exhaust would get you very close to that.

Yeah, like Alpine? Kenwood?

Since it doesn't come with worked heads, I think he's talking about ecu tuning?

Set the shift light at 3500 RPM for break-in, but haven't changed it since.

On a side note, we put over 100 miles on track yesterday.

David,

Could you explain the theory behind why/how that method of shifting helps to reduce direct injector seal wear please? I'm interested in picking up one of the twins but the DI seals and potential tranny issues have been worrisome.

It's like manually adding timing to the system. Slight knocking happens when you jump on the throttle. The slight knocking/detonation is so small that the knock sensor can't detect it and this eventually erodes the seal. Now, most tuned cars actually have less problems, but it's not the solution. Tuning and this driving style are simply bandaids. Remember, the compression ratio is high and the direct injection system tends to make the engine run a bit lean.

this, vortech and paxton refer to them as head units as it is the transmission and compressor combined. compressor would just be the wheel/housing.
