I recall that changing camber through the plates will adjust the also. How much will toe change with negative 2 degree?

-3 seems like a bit much, I'm currently awaiting back ordered camber plates and I am hoping to buy lca's in a month or two. My goal is -2 up front and -1.5 in the rear. Currently at -1.2 front and -2 in the rear...

Camber is determined by the tire you are running and how you drive it. There is no "magic number" that fits all cars.
Use camber to keep the tire temps even across the tire for the toe setting that feels best for you.

To add another data point, I'm running -3.2f/-1.8r camber on my daily driven STX build. After 5000 miles, 80 autocross runs and (4) 20min tracks sessions, I still have nearly 5/32" of perfectly even tread wear remaining on my R-S3 v.2s. Some negative camber on these cars is necessary for maximum grip while maintaining good tread wear and driveability.

Don't see rear top mounts being discussed much. Is there any known benefit to going with something like the Raceseng 1" or 2" versions, over a normal flat top mount (mooresport, etc) or is even re-using the stock rear tophat just fine? Would be with KW V3. Thanks!

I recently purchased a BRZ and have a question for those of you who have STX-type coilovers. How is the ride on the street? The stock ride is plenty firm, but it seems like a lot of that is because the stock shocks don't have much rebound control. With a set of properly valved coilovers, is the ride on 7-8k springs really any worse? I've seen comments here and there suggesting it's not, but I thought I would try to get opinions from this group.
Thanks for any responses! |

I couldn't stand driving my car everyday so I parked it and bought something else, which turned out to be equally shitty in terms of ride quality. |

Mine won't be a daily driver, but it will get street driven on a regular basis by both me and my wife, so ride quality is a factor. When I had a Miata in STR, it had AST coilovers with springs about 4 times the stock rates, and it rode better than stock. That's the result I'm hoping for with the BRZ.
