Since you can't read well. The guy who responded to the tech line (Subaru work order) called back to the local dealer and informed him that it was a known issue (at Subaru) and that they would be sending a transmission out. There was no opening up it checking synchros. It was these are the issues, replace whole transmission.

Also, once again, started experiencing issues at stock power output.

Just because a bunch of guys whine and moan about their transmissions on a forum does NOT make it a known issue. It just means that the small percentage of the people that use the forum are more vocal about any problem they have. There are not nearly enough people that are on here to represent all the cars sold. Do a quick google search on FRS transmission problems and the only hits you will get are this forum or places that pulled their misinformation from it.

Shit happens and things break when you push them. Fix it and move on
I will fix it FAN BOY! and your stock ride may not visit the dealer much it is a known issue.

And Muscle Cars, jajaja thats why you are so used to broken cars!

Just had our sixth person take their car in for bad synchros. That makes 3 replaced transmissions in the area in the last 2-3 months and 2 still fighting local dealers after toyota acknowledged that the transmission should have been replaced

Going from 4-5 at +5000rpm it feels like the shifter hits a wall and doesn't go into gear.

For those who have had their tranny recently replaced is everything 100% perfect now? Is it confirmed that there has been a revision to the replacement transmissions?

I'm going to contact my dealer but I don't know how I can demonstrate the issue for them unless I'm speeding through city streets. There are no highways nearby.

With mine it comes and goes. Sometimes it goes in just fine, other times it takes alot more force. I've just trained myself to shift a little slower going into 5th to give the syncros a little more time to do their thing. It only grinds if I expect it to go in quickly and let out the clutch reflexively.

Did it grind or resist getting into gear if you guys shifted slower? Or did it only happen when you're aggressively shifting?

Had my tranny replaced due to the same reason recently.. It would grind no matter how slow or fast I up shifted.

It took them over a week to "Diagnose" the problem. Once they were able to reproduce the issue (not sure why it was so hard, I told them go 45 MPH in 3rd and shift into 4th, it happens every time.) They kept insisting that they have to drop the trans and verify the clutch wasn't abused and "raced". I have header back exhaust and I think that had them concerned.

The service writer called me asking if there was anything they should be concerned about before dropping my trans... A couple days later they called back stating they have the car ready with a new tranny.

Get your transmission warranted then post the repair order in my thread so I can use it in court.
