How do you shift?

Was out looking at new shift nobs for the FR-S and noticed there's the two types. The knob style that you can slap around with your palm like I do or the stick type you grab and move with your fist. Thought I'd start a fun thread on people's preference in shift grip.

My uncle has the Eleanor shift handle in his pony, I like it for that car only tho. Gives a more aggressive shift when you got 600hp on the wheel .
But for my frs I went with flossy short red head and I love the throw it has because of its weight

I Never pay attention to the shift knob. So long as it works. The steering wheel is something I notice. I really like the FR-Z's.

I always rest my hand on the top part of the shift knob so a knob works best for me. Currently looking for something similar to a flossy redhead or whatever it's called in flat black.

I like round shift knobs (have a flossy shorty), that way you can grip it anyway you want...since I have a different grip for each shift.

off topic. but for some of your shift knobs because a lot of the aftermarket ones are aluminum. I assume it gets crazy hot during the summer. Do you just change back to OEM knob or do you just suck it up?

Budweiser tap shift knob lulz jk I have a 9k racing one right now it's just a see through knob like a see through 8 ball without the 8. Not really heavy though so it feels more flimsy when I shift

It's actually not that bad if you have a textured knob like the flossy grip tape since it disburses heat pretty well.

Not good for your transmission. And not to sound like a preacher but driving is best done with two hands on the wheel.

When i had my evo 8 MR i would take my shirt off and put it over the shift knob because it would get so hot.
