i absolutely love the Prokit it gives you a balance of looks and better handling, The ride is much smoother over the sportlines. I would cringe when going over a bumpy road with the sport lines the ride was really harsh. The Prokit takes bumps well and IMO provide better performance.

Here is my car on the Pro Sport springs, 17x7.5 et48 and 225 sized tires.

I have a few questions for all those with the pro sport springs. I am not as well versed in suspension and wheels as i am engine so hopefully not total noob sounding here but anyways:


1.) how is the ride quality. Honest feed back! I really want to lower my car a tad but will be doing 6 hour drives every other Friday, so that is why I am concerned

2.) I will be on stock wheels / tires until it comes time for new rubber. Camber bolts are not necessary with these springs, correct? but if I plan on a wheels / tire upgrade down the line should I get and install camber bolts while doing the springs? or wait?


3.) lastly, How would you rate a spring swap in terms of difficulty? I have a fair amount of mechanical skills and have replaced head gaskets ( volvo 240, 850r, impreza 2.5i), replaced exhaust systems and intakes, and such

For power mods, I will be getting a header and an OFT (if this needs to be considered)

They feel like stock but more refined. They are smoother and less bouncier, the drop is subtle but noticeable.

If you read this very thread, questions 1 and 2 will be answered.

3. it is a fairly simple task that may take longer than anticipated if you do not have the right tools. For a spring install, a spring compressor will be a great help. You can definitely do it w/o one but it makes it easier to remove the spring/shock from the car and to take it apart. Plus you can rent the tool from your local autoparts store for a deposit and get a full refund when you bring it back.

1. was answered by only a few and I wanted to hear more because there is always someone to the contrary and I want to hear why his opinion is.

2. All that is said is that they are not needed. But if i'm taking the car apart anyways should I do the bolts? or not because I'd just take them out again when I swap rims. Which may be soon than I thought. so again wanted more input

3. can or can't? i have an orielly's autozone and napa 5 mins from where i work so if i can, I will rent one, if I can't ghetto fab C-clamp

a new wheel/tire setup won't require camber adjustment-- if you plan on picking up rear LCAs and something for camber adjustment up front anyways then yeah you'd save some time installing those items at the same time. but again, you don't need it for this setup.

sorry, typo-- you can rent the tool. would definitely make it easier.

if you have never done a spring install before, i'd set aside a few extra hours that day so you don't feel rushed. some other tools that would make the job easier: 1. a breaker bar, 2. a friend to lend a helping hand, 3. a couple of beers to celebrate with

Honestly the ride is bit worse then stock, but not much. To me its worth it. Get some camber bolts for up front.
