I need to replicate that sound it was perfect.
Sounds awesome.
I think it will be hard to get this sound on an fr-s/brz/86
The first thing I would do are change the stock headers for an EL headers
Changing only the catback you will not get that type of sound.

Sorry my bad english.

Want to know if those that have owned a Lotus Exige or have friends who owned one before. Is it daily drivable? Just curious.

Yes Ptunings EL headers are catless and Fi Exhaust provide a catless option as well. It just might sound good with that combination if as you have said it smooths the note out a little.

That's the thing though, a catless option is going to change the sound a lot. Where you once had burble and rumble from the slightly less than equal stock manifold, you're going to have more rasp and bang from a catless equal length.

Don't get me wrong though, the proposition is very interesting to me I think about exhaust tone and pitch more than any reasonable man should because I'd love a higher pitch sound.

With a turbo though? The turbo drastically changes the exhaust note.

Even with the EL manifold, if you keep the turbo the note will be very different.

You probably need to get your engine to have rev faster. The sound gets bunched up at higher RPMs and causes that sound. good luck it sounds very nice.
