Perrin CAI air filter clean
i have a Perrin CAI and I want to clean the air filter that goes behind the bumper. Is it ok to use the K&N recharge kit or I need anything else to do it?

I just went to a local performance motorbike/ATV shop and picked up foam filter cleaner and foam filter oil. Bel-Ray, FFT, Motul, Castrol, PF1 are a few other brands.

@Hawk77FT - As Apoc stated, there are many brands that you are able to purchase. Most can be found at your local motorcycle/ATV shops. You just need to make sure that it is specifically designed for the foam filter. |

Do you have to pull the front bumper every time you clean it?

Yes, the bumper does have to be removed to access the intake.

Ohhhhh duh okay my bad. Yeah I have the intake on now and might need to switch to something else. With these Arizona dust storms I can't be pulling that bumper all the time to clean the filter.

Is there a cleaning procedure specific to perrin CAI? And is there a specific oil that you would recommend on using on the foam once it is clean and ready to go back In the car?
