Hey Suberman @Ubersuber -> there goes your theory that BRZ's are faster around the same track. 0.4 seconds faster in a bone stock FRS vs bone stock BRZ.

I'm assuming the driver is the same for all those times. I find that impressive on the OEM tires

There are some exceptions to this rule, and watching the video, this track would qualify. There are no 5th gear straights, and all the turns are 2nd and 3rd gear. Wider will be faster here, because a 225 would overheat very quickly.

Also, his car accelerates faster than any NA car would in SoCal; all of our tracks are at high elevation (fml), and are typically high temperature (more fml), and usually have lower air density than the elevation would dictate (fffffml)

And we got 91 E10-15 gas. (shoot me now)

225 is a ballpark limit for stock power.
Even with, smaller tires are proving to be faster overall. Aero is really the determining factor, IMO, with power being a smaller concern, but nobody has really developed any substantial aero for this platform, yet.

Thanks, didn't know ECUTek had such feature.

When he was braking and downshifting, the gas pedal is clearly visible with absolutely no movement, as if the "Auto-Blip" feature is on. Perhaps the OP can chime in to this.

Hi guys. Sorry about the no helmet. I'm a big advocate for safety, especially for anyone new to track driving. In this case, we were shooting a video and I was commentating while driving, so couldn't wear a helmet. But under normal circumstances, I always wear a helmet. That said, this track is flat and has nothing to hit except the wall on the front straight, so as race tracks go it's very safe.

I wasn't heel & toe downshifting here because, as has already been mentioned, we have the rev-match feature on Ecutek enabled on this car. I'm so accustomed to doing the rev-matching myself, at first I found this feature annoying as it would throw me out of my usual rhythm, but I'm used to it now. I've tested with it on and off and it doesn't help my lap times any, but for guys who aren't confident in their heel & toe technique, it can be a way to prevent the rear end from locking up.

I'm going to post a version of the 1:21.8 lap with voiceover explaining my approach to this circuit, along with data overlay. Plus I'll make the Aim Solo data file available for download to anyone who wants to compare it to their own data at this circuit.

Dood, I've had the BRZ for over 2 years now. And I would sell it way before the ITR (yes, I still have heR).
