TMP in Cayuga is a fairly short track, great place to have a first lapping day since it won't take you long to memorize it and it's layout is very forgiving if you misjudge when you should start braking..
I went to Cayuga for my first track day.
The one and only time I turned of T/C, I spun out (overcorrected) on turn 4, did a 360, and ended up about 1 m away from a concrete barrier in the middle of the grass (I guess it was there to protect the little wooden tower for track marshals there).

I track in VSC mode.

It's a great learning tool, you screw up a corner and the T/C kicks you in the balls reminding you to drive smoother. Because if the T/C is kicking in its because you're sliding around, and sliding around means you lost traction and lost traction means you're going the slow way (but admittedly having fun and looking cool).

Caveat though, only VSC mode, full on T/C kicks in too early.

There's a very clear blip on every downshift...

Wonder if he would have run even quicker laptimes on 225 width AD08R's. I know @CSG Mike and some magazines have found that going above 225 sacrifices more straightline speed than you make up for in grip.

yes, but they're also making more power

225 is a ballpark limit for stock power.

Since the car is tuned on ECUTek, I had assumed they had the Auto-Blip turned on. I could be wrong and Dave was doing the rev matching himself.
