Leveling or not, you'll want European headlights.

Based on pricing for other similar headlights, I'd guess you're probably looking at at least $1800 or so plus shipping.

The BRZ has two switches there, the first (the one the FRS has) is for dimming the interior lights.

I forgot about that. In EU auto leveing is required by law. So I would figure it's already part of the package. I'm not sure if they allow manual adjustment, but I would think that that goes against of having the "auto" leveling law in the first place.

For those of you going that route, good luck. Hopefully, it all comes in a neat tidy package that can be bolted on without issues. Having been around the block with HID upgrade in the past, went from D2R HID's to D2S HID's on my '05 G35 coupe, I know it can be expensive and difficult.

BRZ has different lights though, so I'm not sure why we're comparing.

We're not! Read the posts!

We're trying to determine how difficult it would be to transplant EU spec HID's to the NA spec non-HID's. Never said anything about a BRZ.

Are you blind?

Clearly there's a picture of the BRZ interior and switches. I posted an interior of a euro GT86, which would be better reference.

Ok, this pic settles it. The EU version doesn't have the manual adjustment. Therefore, it must be auto like I thought for EU vehicles.

It seems that the car with halogens has manual adjustment, with HID's is has auto adjustment. Like many other cars.

Jeff
FRS - halogens no adjustment
BRZ USDM - HIDs manual adjustment
86 EDM - HIDs auto adjustment

The halogens don't need to be adjusted because they are not used for high and low beams like the HIDs.
