It would have to go significantly further forward to touch the oem. I never touched or moved my ECU harness, so the down bars come down in front of that... same as above.

That's pretty close, I think you're clear. Wouldn't hurt to measure a few more times. That's the only part about my cage I didn't do right.

When we weld in the gusset's it always pulls the legs in a bit anyways...finished up the roof diagonal/taco shells and dropped it to weld!

True. Gussets or any attachments to the chassis are 2 extra points for me, so I skipped them on this build. If I do go with a more powerful motor in the future and a faster class, I left enough room to be able to weld them on.

There is a JDM AC delete bracket since the stripper model there doesn't come with AC. http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1678040 has info on the part numbers you can punch into amayama.com to order it.

Raceseng is also looking to make one.

Man it's tough to get a tall guy into a race seat in the FRS! We had to cut out the front oem seat mounts/crossmember/pedastols, "modify the tunnel" to move the seat to where it was low enough for our 6'2 friend to feel remotely centered on the wheel! The floor's not entirely flat either but we stitched in some flat strap and captured nuts so it sits level. Cage is almost done and we're fitting the dash back in around the a-pillar bars.

I cut out the factory mounts too. Not a lot of head room

Almost done---got the seat mounts, rollcage, harnesses, window nets, fire extinguisher, quick release/steering wheel combo, tow hooks all finished---test drove it and other than a pesky ABS light that popped on we're good! Next week BBK for the front!!

Oh and alignment/corner balance---looks like we're at 2540lbs dry and around 2800lbs with a 200lb driver and a half tank or so...

Ok cool-that makes sense, you've got more cage than this car and the AC stuff still...I think we'll drop well below 2500lbs when we finally loose the passenger seat, but that may be a while for Jet as he's doing HPDE stuff...
