Piercemotorsports FRS Track Build

One of our friends has a bunch of different fun track cars and recently picked up an FRS---after doing some speed ventures events he wanted to get more serious so we helped him install some coilovers and swaybars---one thing led to another (which it usually does) and things are starting to get out of hand! Anyone need any interior parts?!?! We're stripping it to build a rollcage, installing a race seat/harness/window nets/fire system etc...I'm logging the build here for him so he can stay motivated/see the progress---these are pics from day 2---just about ready to pull the beam out to get to the fans/ducting. I haven't weighed everything, but I'd bet we're down over 300lbs at this point!

Remove that heater core and with cage you will probably come in around 2500/2600 pounds!

That would be fantastic! Carpeting is now gone---probably remove the core/fans etc...on Friday.

Man that steering column support bar/deal has a lot of things attached to it! We're just about ready to pull the control units/bypass the core!

Really interesting to see the interior gutted!

Piercemotorsports 08-08-2014 08:04 PM

That was a lot of work! Cool thing is they give you/you can use a little heater core bypass fitting in the stock system so you can just loop it back together! Have to have the instrument cluster plugged in for the car start in case anyone was wondering...

Keep the pics and updates, this is VERY interesting. You seems to have a knack to highlight the build important point ;)

I'll try to post update as good as your in my thread:

Quick Question: how much did you sell the whole interior for ? How do you deal with all the parts you are removing ? ebay ?
