Bill was contracted by innovate to provide the tune, when you buy the carb setup he is not under obligation to provide support, technically innovate is.

Red Line 75w90 NS or the equivalent oil in Mobil 1 full synthetic.
I believe NS stands for none slip which is the same as LSD oil . |

No. That thread showed the CARB innovate tunes VS custom tuned centrifugals. The CARB tunes for the centrifugals don't rocket away from the innovate. They're more along the lines of "catching up" at the high end and maybe pulling slightly ahead at the top.

On a side note it is interesting than no OEM uses a centrifugal SC (that I know of). |

For the guys & gals out there running Delicious Tuning's latest 8.59 tune. Have you noticed any sluggishness/delay in your throttle response after updating? I've been running on 8.59 for almost a week now and I'm wondering if anyone else has noticed the same thing or if it's just me.
Now before I continue I want to make it clear that while I may be complaining a bit, I offer it as constructive criticism. My intention is not to be negative and in no way am I upset. In no way should my criticism be seen as an attempt to blemish Delicious Tuning's reputation and work. I have the utmost respect for Bill and I truly appreciate his dedication to this platform and to his clients. A lot of us Innovate guys run on a Delicious tune because we know that they are awesome, and with that I would like to share my experience so far with the 8.59 tune. After reflashing the ecu I have noticed the following: - exhaust rasp has been minimized ![]() - somewhat vague throttle response - revs will hang/float - at idle with no load on the engine, revving will cause the rpms to abruptly drop to 500 and then jump back to 1,000 before settling back to 800 rpm (normal idle rpm) - smooth up/down shifts are executed more easily - Engine breaking is a little less effective - the car feels smoother (more casual) overall when driving around town and on the freeway I have a manual transmission. Before installing the SC I used to rev the car out to over 5,500 rpm almost all the time. Mainly because it was fun and also because I wanted to stay clear of the torque dip. After the SC I would normally short shift below 4,300 rpm. Mainly too avoid the raspy exhaust note and also because with the extra torque down low I didn't really have to rev it out anymore. With the 8.59 tune I now rev the engine out to around 5,000 rpm. Mainly because it sounds good again and also because the car doesn't feel as fast as it used to. It's difficult for me to explain, I feel like there is a larger disconnect now between the accelerator and the engine. The car feels slower and less responsive. Revs don't build up as quickly as they used to. It's eerie. My right foot and butt tell me that the car is slower, but when I look at the speedometer I see that I'm actually running at a high speed. So even though I think that the car feels slower, my speed says otherwise. I don't really care if I am indeed going a bit slower or not. Taking the car to redline when jumping on the freeway is still fun and I can never get enough of that twin screw whine, but there is just a bit less drama in driving the car now. The car feels like it has been dulled down a bit. I feel somewhat disconnected and out of sync with the car. Does anyone else feel the same way? Maybe I just need to drive it more and over time I will get used to it, but I can't help myself from fretting over the feeling that the car feels less responsive.

Put the car in map 3 or 4 and tell me your throttle response sucks. Map 1-4 progressively makes the throttle more sensitive. Map 4 makes heel toe downshifts stupid easy now and the new tune altogether is a huge upgrade from the last. If you wanna test the effectiveness of the throttle progression on each map just change maps while you're driving at a constant speed and you will feel the difference.

I was thinking something similar except that I live in California, so maps 1 & 2 are for 91 octane and maps 3 & 4 are for 93 octane. Maps 2 & 4 are said to be the same as 1 & 3 respectively, but with auto blip enabled. Unfortunately there isn't a gas station nearby with 93 octane gas to test maps 3 & 4. I do have Torco accelerator fuel additive. I normally like to save that for my first track sessions of the day though. I find it cheaper than having to fill up on 100 octane at the track. One tank of Torco and a half tank of 100 are usually enough to last all day at the track.
Anyway, when I say I was thinking something similar I was thinking that perhaps the maps could be adjusted so that one map would be for casual drivers (I mean driving) and the other would be like a sport mode with sharper throttle response. I was not aware that these settings were already included in the new tune. If so then that is great to hear. I don't recall noticing any changes in throttle response before with the old tune between maps 1 & 2, but the car did perform better on maps 3 & 4 at the track with the higher octane fuel. Also, I'm not saying that the throttle response "sucks". Nothing at all about this new tune sucks. The throttle just feels a bit vague and less responsive compared to before, but if switching to map 2 gets rid of this slightly disconnected feeling then that would be awesome. Ok, I just went back and reviewed the Delicious Tuning thread and I found that you are most likely right about the different map settings. Quote:
Regardless, thanks for the response I appreciate it ![]() Like I said in my original post, I wasn't trying to be negative. I apologize if it came out that way. I just didn't know and now I do ![]() ![]() Thanks!

I only have two maps....
I do feel that in the lower rpms it does feel a little sluggish. It doesn't feel like it pulls as hard. Higher rpms are very good and smoothness and drive ability were improved. I'll have to look into getting the other throttle response maps. From a stop it's easier to get off the line but they may have hurt the 2nd or 3rd gear, too lazy to downshift, pull from low rpm.
