1. the oxford comma exists to eliminate supposed ambiguity. I never said it was wrong, just not particularly necessary in most cases the oft quoted example of JFK and Stalin being invited over along with some strippers is absurd. When's the last time you invited some strippers, JFK and Stalin, over for a party? furthermore, the real point to ponder is that if in one's effort to save space there arises an ambiguity large enough to demand the presence of a comma then mayhaps the sentence needs to be rewritten so as to avoid sounding overly complex in the first place. 2. capitalization and punctuation are important, but not in the context of written speech the double-return is sufficient to indicate a pause i am not writing an article i am conversing see what I'm doing there? this makes it informal notice however that within a single sentence i will use all the proper punctuation and capitalization so as to not hurt the eyes of my reader as for i & I ... i find that one of the biggest WASP and literary snoot bullshit eVAH 3. my previous statement still flew over your head.. so i'll give you a hint liking something does not require the understanding of it, which makes your argument fallacious 4. having said that, i will admit that compound words and use of hyphenation has to this day eluded my full comprehension. After all, English is not my first language, ohh fucking well 5. a true writer and linguist appreciates all forms of language so long as the message is clear, smart and witty. people like you, who defend a tightly defined and rigid structure are doomed to rot in agony... my hat tippeth to thy heels, i bid good day to your face and curse at your back toodles~~!

1. Have you ever been paid to write?
2. Your post took an insufferably long time to read because of all the eye tracking. It's rude to the reader. Weird Al might have something to say about your choices. Either way, I don't much care how you punctuate.

touché! i think the reason for writing you're rather than your when the writer knows full well the difference is when the voice changes from active to passive or passive to active midway and not double checked after

Since I suggested only that one fit Bilstein B6 (HD) which is manifestly and incontrovertibly a good idea and that one try cutting a piece out of or off the rear bump stops (which is recommended if you shorten the springs) I suppose it is a good thing I didn't propose anything controversial. I have tried this and it works. If someone else tries it and it doesn't work that might be worthy of a post. If anyone supposes that Subaru spent a whole bunch of engineering talent changing the spec on the Impreza bump stop especially to be perfect for the BRZ then I ask them to consider why they bothered, the part numbers are virtually the same and they look the same on the parts catalogue. The remainder of the Impreza suspension and much of its structure were used in the BRZ. For the especially inquisitive posters I confirm that indeed a long bow is considered to be a spring, and it will excite harmonically. It is undamped. It bears a not coincidental resemblance to a leaf spring, especially in a Corvette suspension. I don't think you compress a long bow but you certainly induce amplitude when pulling it which is released to deliver the arrow and then harmonically vibrates down to its original state. I imagine at Agincourt the English bows didn't stop oscillating until sundown. The volume of, to put it as politely as one may, adolescent vitriol in this thread is truly remarkable. |

I use an 8" LCD, actually. Not joking. I doubt Weird Al would especially enjoy the company of anybody here, except for mine, naturally. The best part of our conversation is that we're totally pooping all over what uber has to say.

Ah, I am jealous. I wrote about computers and video games years ago. It was fun, but writing about cars is even better. The pay, however, suxors.
