So if a bump stop was put under a large amount of pressure and said pressure was instantaneously released, you think it's impossible that it could generate enough momentum to elongate further than its static length? That is all you're saying it takes to be "springy", they would just be at different frequencies.

A spring as the term is understood in vehicle engineering develops harmonic upon release from compression ( or indeed upon release from extension though that doesn't generally happen on vehicles).

You can call a bump stop a spring if you want but that distracts you from the fundamental difference between the two devices. One needs a damper and the other doesn't.

And "dampening" in the context of spring motion is as semantically correct as irregardless. It is in common usage but it isn't correctly used in the context of damping a spring harmonic.
So will an uncompressed spring elongate if you add compression? Go stand on any spring for any car and tell us how it oscillates. You are by far more contradicting than sweet and sour chicken.

"Budget mods that will make a real difference for street driving"
Obviously if you modify your budget you can do all sorts of things to your car. This assumes you modify it in a positive way and not down size it.

on a more serious note, I figured my avatar would be a glaring sign to the academics that all is well in camp 7thgear

Improved performance on only street driven cars will be subjectively positive. Just like how a strut bar somehow enables you to corner 20MPH faster around a cloverleaf on-ramp, when the reality is, you can do it already but you just don't have to balls to do it.

Thanks for the new signature quote. That is awesome. Hahaha

That is hella true though. I am barely getting into autox this year even and my butt dyno when it comes to feel is non-existant basically. So who knows how much I really gain from one specific mod. You don't explore the limits on the street so you don't know them unless you track/autox/etc. Even canyon runs you hold back to leave recovery space so you don't go for a helicopter ride out of there.

Fixed.

You claim to like Archer, but then you ignore the very tool needed for proper phrasing.

do you want me to point out the holes in your thought process or have you figured it out on your own?

Sure. Tell me why the Oxford comma is so wrong. Tell me why capitalization at the beginning of a sentence and punctuation at the end are so wrong. I am need of your superior knowledge.
