I'm packing up to head down to PIR tomorrow but only racing Sat and Sunday.

If you guys can make it out on Sat/Sun you should. There's a Subaru Event going one that's separate from the racing and the CSCC race weekend is the annual "Dash For Kids" where you can donate some $$ to the charity and at lunch on Saturday get a ride at speed in a race car. Or, donate a few dollars and buy a ride for one of the kids from the charity. I gave race car rides to 3 kids last year and they had loads of fun, even though they could barely see above the dash.

"But honey, I have to go the race track... It's for the children!!"

@Sportington, @digital_assassin, great to meet you. Kevin has a cool ride. What camber plates are those? I must have.

Bummer about the wheel weights, Randall. Shitty surface prep?

Yeah, it was good meeting you two out there @litemup and @Sportington. That was the most unorganized event I've been to yet! Can't believe it took them till 11 to figure out there was no ambulance on site. With us all being in different run groups it was tough to find time to talk. I'm going again to the CSCC event in September and hopefully we can get more to attend. This track day had the fewest 86's out of the times I've went.

What kind of lap times did you guys end up putting down? I was having trouble with my lap timer and only got the times from session 3 and turned a 1:38:22 which is way off from where I wanted to be. When I was NA I pulled a 1:38:36 and could only hit 113 in the straights and with the S/C I was hitting 121 as a max speed so I got slower in the turns. My car was having issues with understeer in turns 2 and 7 so before next time out I'll go to a softer setting on the sway bars and then tune the dampers from there. I've never really experienced understeer like I was having in run 1 & 2 and all I have to say is understeer sucks and is scary as hell. Nothing like hauling ass in a straight line with the wheels turned.

Right? WTF?

I'm a complete track n00b so, to get the most out of the experience, I didn't take a camera or anything. Also why I disappeared. Once I realized my instructor was cool (awesome) I stuck close to him and just asked questions all day. Next round I'll start measuring stuff.

I managed to top out a couple times at 107. Remember, I'm HUGE so, me + instructor = almost weight limit.

Being tight is the worst. You have some great hardware in there. Baby steps.

Oh, while I'm at it, let me plug the Hagg lake run for @Chen. Aug 17. It'd be great if you could join us.

Thanks for the shout out to the even. I would love everybody to join if they could. I know this place is a bit far. But I figure it would be nice to do some cruising and then just hang out.

Well that was an interesting weekend. I'm consistent...

Consistently 2nd place.

I need to collect the video from another driver but some crazy passing, some mirror to mirror driving through 4/5/6, 4 wheels off, avoidable contact, opposite lock, getting driven off track... Oh yeah.. it was a good weekend! I will have a highlight reel in a few days.

I don't blame anyone for not coming back for the weekend to watch the racing due to the heat but I did see several BRZ's at the BIG NW Subbie meet on Sunday.

I think running at Auto-X last weekend in the scorching heat, my car did good on temps. I think my car will be ok for the track. So before the summer is over, I think I will hit up a track day.

Only concern is my rear axles and coolant temps.

A group of us are going to ORP Monday Sept 8th since it's so cheap. You should come to that one. Link to sign up on the first post.

@litemup @digital_assassin. Good to meet you guys out there as well. Sorry it has taken me awhile to reply.. super busy summer. I did 1:49 laps. 105 MPH top speed. Tire rubber that I picked up shortened my last run, but next time I will push on and just try to dislodge it. I will be out again for next CSCC on Sept 27th, and I now get to drive solo so lighter and more fun. It would be cool to have more 86's out. CSCC definitely is not as organized as ProDrive, but overall it was a good experience.

I wish I could have made it to the last CSCC. I'll be at ORP in a couple weeks however. I couldn't pass up the $125 track day. Almost half price is nice!
