Sorry "Axle"-shaft.... Drivers side.

Technically I guess its a "half-shaft".

I guess I'll try what you did then and take it in.

I just took it to the dealer today (Lithia Subaru) since I was in the area and all they found supposedly was a missing sway bar bolt but after they put a new bolt in it still made the clicking noise so I guess I'll take it to a different dealer and show them what's up myself instead of tell them. Plus they charged me $50 as they said my car was modified and wasn't covered under warranty.

Clicking noise only occurs during load and when load is being transferred to the rear wheels.

Watching some vids of the rear diff, it moves around a LOT with the soft, stock bushings.

Maybe, your sounds might be coming from the diff moving around?

If you have a go-pro camera you might try mounting it under the car and see if you can't correlate the sounds to something moving like the diff.

@Powersfrs sent me a message with pictures of the ebrake springs and pins behind the rotor. He mentioned the pins on the left and right with the metal clips attached to them are what's making the noise for him. I'm going to take it to the dealer (different one this time) to see what they have to say and if they will work on my car even though it's modded like crazy. Will update after I do this.

The clips in the pic above are for the Ebrake assembly only.
They should not make any noise when just driving.

The dealer took mine apart and looked at that very area, cleaned it, inspected it, and put it back together.
It still made the click even when not touching the brakes.

My noise is getting worse too. It makes 1 or 2 clicks every time I start moving, and occasionally when I shift to 2nd.

Took it to Carr Subaru. They had it for 5 hours then I got a call saying my car is too low to put on the lift. They also said since your car is modified that they won't work on it under warranty. I know my car isn't too low for a lift because one of the guys here has one and the other dealer had it up on their lift. I'm filling out their customer comment card with a bad review since they didn't even try to figure out the clicking noise. I think I'll try one more dealer in Gresham that's supposedly mod friendly and then I'm done. I'll drive it until it gets worse or I'll take it to a VW shop that I'm on good terms with the owners.

They replaced my drivers side axle, and they could still hear the noise.
They replaced the drivers side wheel bearing and could still hear the noise.

They greased those clips in the pic above, and thought they had gotten rid of the noise.

I took it for a test drive and came right back in and told them "Great job you DID get rid of the drivers side clicking, but now I can hear it on the passenger's side"

That was why they couldnt get rid of it, they were focused on one side.

They agreed that they could hear it in a test drive.
I told them I 'll just wait till it gets a lot worse before I make them fix the other side.

So it ended up being the clips, but on both sides?

No I believe it WAS the CV joint.
It was just doing it on both sides.

They replaced the axle (inner & outer CVs) on the drivers side, then kept trying to fix things on that side because they could still hear the click.

If they had replaced the axles on both sides, they would not have changed the wheel bearing or messed around with the brakes because the clicking would have been gone completely.

I dont abuse my car, but I bought it used with 9k mi.
I assume the previous owner liked to do peel outs....

What was the cost of replacing the CVs?

No idea - it was warranty work.
But they said that you could only get the whole axle, so WAG = $400-500 for parts alone??? $1k if they were in the gouging mood.

I have this same issue, hoping for a more definitive answer before I go dropping a grand on new axles...
