What is this clicking sound coming from under the rear of my car?

I have a clicking sound that I can hear whenever I'm at a stop then go, or from stop into reverse, or even when I'm decelerating then give it some gas. One of my two videos I'm in my garage at a stop. Then I put it into 1st and go a little. Then stop. Then reverse a little. In the other video the car has the e-brake on and I'm using my arms to pull back and forth on the rear driver's side wheel. The sound seems slightly stronger on that side vs me pulling the passenger side back and forth.

I have a track day in two days and I don't want to blow up my car. I ran it at a track day a few weeks ago and nothing bad happened and the car seemed fine aside from the clicking. Same with when I went drag racing; nothing bad happened. It's been happening for about 4 months or so.

@CSG David or @CSG Mike or @Drift-Office or @Jason@Nameless any ideas?

Sounds like a metal part is hitting another metal part. Have you checked if anything is loose in the rear or if there is little clearance between two parts?

Yes I didn't see anything. :(

If I have the ebrake on, and the trans in neutral, and rock the car back and forth, I get this clicking/tinking on both sides. It seems like it's coming from the ebrake drum or something. Have had it for a while. Doesn't make the noise if the ebrake isn't on.

Have you installed anything prior to this noise?

I can't think of anything I installed when the clicking started.

It might be the ebrake retaining clip. Mine broke about a month ago and started making a metal on metal "clink" sound whenever stopping or just starting from a stop. Can't tell from your vids if its the same sound but it very well could be.

Where is the ebrake retaining clip? Is it at the end of the ebrake cable on both sides?

I'm not sure unfortunately. I figured out what the problem was from someone on another forum with the same issue. Haven't opened anything up yet myself. If I beat you to it I'll post what I find here.

I have this same noise too. Keep us posted.
I think it's just on manual trans.

That's definitely not the same issue or clicking I'm hearing. If you listen to my videos and read my post you'd agree. My pop or loud click is coming from the rear inside wheel, axle, or differential area and I can make it happen without driving the car but with moving the rear wheel by hand.

Are you lowered? this could be your problem!

I am lowered a little (0.8"). I'd rather not rip open my axle bushing unless I know that's the issue, unless someone has an x-ray machine I can borrow to see through the rubber. ;) I wonder if I push down hard on the rubber and tried to feel is there was any cracked metal, if that would work for checking...
