***But I'll definitely bring this up with my salesmen and see if I could get a better deal. I'll post my final sales price or any freebies(If I do) in this forum. |

![]() It is all well and good for folks to say - well you shoulda got this and I'd never do that - but unless people are posting their invoices and signed off loan terms if there is one, it's all got a whiff of the Cliff Clavin (or current analogy for all you youngsters) about it.

Everybody else in Ontario has to pay the Tire Tax, the AC Tax (Canada), and... License fee? I'm hoping a lot of 'final costs' are released for people. Interested to see what extra fees are tacked on by dealers. |

After I saw the price I went to put down my deposit. WRB Sport-Tech Manual.
No markup. Still have yet to get #'s for finance rates. I am hoping they are reasonable, but the guys at the dealership were thinking 5.9% like the STI. I'd prefer 1.9% otherwise I might as well just pay cash. Pretty happy to see that we're not getting screwed in Canada for this car. Also, not sure if this has been posted yet but this is what my dealer sent me, it's a PDF with the options and prices from Subaru Canada. I'm interested to see the brakes are listed differently from model to model, I was under the impression they were the same. I am cautiously optimistic about this. ^ Actually there are no options/accessories listed in that PDF, but it does fully describe what are in the base and Sport-Tech packages. Slightly bigger brakes in the latter - I wonder if that holds for the US Limited as well? Not heard it mentioned so far.

$500 "market adjustment" seems reasonable considering the dealer is only getting 7 BRZ's!
The one post earlier (#29) mentioned a dealer had taken 9 deposits but would be only getting 5 cars. Maybe they're getting 7 cars. Who knows. But in either case, they won't have any units to sell past above those who have put deposits down. So if they decide on only a $500 "market adjustment" then that is quite good! Think about it. Dlrs are individually owned and operated. They could charge whatever they wanted. And with only 4 or 5 or 7 units coming to them, according to the posts above...... seems they could charge an even higher market-adjustment if they wanted to! |

And the $500 isn't an adjustment in that sense anyways. I would bet they try that fee bullshit with all their customers. It is also complete BS as profitabilty is calculated in the MSRP. Pure greed.

The fact that the salesman split it up into two separate charges tells me that the salesman thought lumping the up-charge into one charge would be too noticeable and believed that by splitting it into two smaller, official looking charges it would be easier to fool customers. When I first saw architect mention his pricing I actually believed that the registration charge was legitimate (first time car buyer here). |
