Same here, I can't wait for October! I might even try to find something in September... maybe.

Try doing more throttle steering on turn 2 and less steering wheel steering. It is a great skill to have and should make it easier to start pushing the ass end of the car out to increase your speed on exit as you start to have less control with the steering wheel when doing that.

You are pinching turn 9, try watching @orthojoe's video or some other video of fast race laps, as it allows for alot more speed. I think I've done that turn at 70Mph, but the time I think I did that I didn't have logging yet so I am not 100% sure (and I haven't had the guts and braking control to do it a second time at that speed; it gets a little "exciting").

Have you tried going to second for 11?

Watch the inside berm on 15!

I definitely appreciate all comments and suggestions! by no means is my driving perfect or beyond reproach haha. some good pointers there, thanks!!

I think I get lazy at turn 11/12 and leave it in 3rd... downshifting to 2nd introduces 1 more shift, as then I'll have to upshift twice on the back straight 2-3-4. And then of course back down to 3 braking into T14. I will try it next time though!

And yeah, we discussed it some at dinner, but I am taking T9 way slower than need be it seems.

There are a bunch of events with really good organizations in September. Among the highlights (and ones I am going to):
1. Sept. 1st (Labor day Monday): NCRC @ Laguna Seca
2. Sept. 6&7 (Sat & Sun): PCA @ T-Hill 5 mile
3. Sept. 11 (Thursday): Golden gate lotus club @ T-Hill 5 mile
4. Sept. 27&28 (Sat & Sun): HOD @ T-Hill 5 mile

Its not that bad with extra shift, here is a vid from early this year with BFG Rivals, this past weekend i had to go 5-4-3 for T14 with 4.556 FD

Huh, you seem to accelerate alot better on the straight than I do. Is that from a tune and cat delete?

At that time I have stock header with Nameless OP/FP with 200 cell cat plus Tomei 60S and OFT tune. I think RaceSeng crank pulley and PST CF driveshaft helped a bit too. :thumb up:

Oh and the ambient temp that day was 45F lol

So many mods make is so hard to compare data!

That said, I'm jealous of your straight line acceleration. I keep meaning to get my car dyno'ed so I know where I'm starting at.

baseline dyno is a must!!!

Ya more mods coming my way too lol

Unless we do a spec 86 series otherwise its impossible to compare data lol

Im very encouraged this past weekend with ambient temp avg 100F that AIM Solo Pred Time had shown me 2:07 for bypass and 2:09 for cyclone - its usually pretty accurate and i think new mods I added did help....hehehe

Now i have to practice not to shift from 5 to 2 again.....maybe create a gear lock .....

Yeah, it took me a while after the first 86cup I went to to realize they were separate people.
