These are all great points!

For transparency sake i will post some of the subjective downsides of the ESC:

The main point being that most of the full time supercharger kits will make more peak power. Im not very familiar with HKS but the Kraftwerks, Jackson and Vortech kit all make more power above 5500rpm.

The base Innovate kit is almost a toss up for performance....especially if you consider the free e85 tune you get when you buy the OFT from Shiv.

That being said that ESC makes more torque than ALL the above kits from 2000rpm to about 5000RPM(+/-500rpm) which is a nice bonus especially considering the other great positive points (Price and install complexity).

Rob is always working to develop the platform, since launch we already have two add ons( Aux charger for double recharge rate, 1.5 dump pack conversion for ~10whp more)

.... I am excited for what the future has to hold for phantom

I'm excited too. Can't wait to see what else rob has up his sleeve.

I'll add one other (not important) downside.

People will call it a leaf blower until they go for a ride in your car. I guarantee it.

Oh yes that is a given....anything you post on youtube will have people commenting on it saying that mythbusters disproved it.

None of my engineering colleagues believed me either until i showed them the unit and started talking numbers(Amps, watts, rpm, compressor map).....then of course when they drive it they are blown away by how much faster the car is.

Just a quick update on my car, got the aux in the mail today and waiting for the car to be done with the 4.67fd install by tomorrow. I'm expecting this little light weight MT car with e85 + 1.5 dump and openflash tune + aux charger +4.67 fd to hit 13.5et. as far butt dyno goes...I'm pretty sure it'll feel pretty darn good on the butt

Does anyone who speaks with Rob regularly have an ETA for new kits? When I spoke to him a while back he did say late July but my last couple of PMs to him haven't gotten a response. I bet he's very busy trying to pump these out...

I don't have rob's ear but last I heard he was waiting on some parts. Kits were pretty much done except for those parts and that was a couple of weeks ago. I have no idea how large the order is or when it will be done.

I've talked to Rob this week a couple times as we are testing something. Right now he is redoing his instructions and investigating some recent failures. Once he is done those two things he will start pushing out more kits. He really needs to make the install fool proof because even small mistakes can result in electrical shorts or wires getting melted.

This may sound silly - but the community with the Phantom SC is a league ahead of what I'm experiencing with others. I have multiple posts in the KW thread about "Hey, new to the crew, just saying Hi" and "Anyone else in the San Diego area?" ....crickets....not a single welcome, Hi, congrats (besides from the vendors via PM).....crickets

It is the complete opposite with the Phantom community. From day one I was welcomed into the group and it's a totally different feel. When you buy a Phantom SC you aren't just buying the same'ol technology. You are buying into the innovative future of high value power by untraditional means. It's a community that isn't afraid to challenge the "norm" of the past and try new things. Rob is a great innovation leader and Fenton is a great facilitator.

Fun Power, Fun People, Great Value.
