I installed mine m'self and it's doing this. Not nearly as bad as in the posted videos, but once I get into higher revs it's noticeable. Did I read right earlier that some were suspicious of it coming from the reverse lockout?
The shifter feels great. I put a biggass (735 gram) knob on top. It's about as smooth as I can imagine a shift being. I'd just prefer for this little bit of white noise to go away. |

I loaded the reverse lockout spring with grease and the sound is all but gone now. Recommend trying that.

Occam's Razor my friend. Start with the simplest explanation and work from there. Given that there are so many running a kartboy shifter with no issues, you should start with that and assume it was installed incorrectly. Pictures of the shifter without the trim installed and ideally underneath might go a LONG way in helping diagnose your issues. My money is on installation error. Once you've ruled that out with evidence is when you should start looking elsewhere. |

I'll try the grease on the reverse lockout spring tomorrow. Probably just use the rest of the syringe Kartboy sent with the kit. Thanks! I'll let the results be known when I get some.

Keep my posted I also have that exact clutch. It's a descent clutch, not too heavy and still street friendly but It grabs aggressively. It's either in it out. I would recommend keeping the factory flywheel if that is even possible. But please elr me know how your experience turns out.

It's not the driveshaft I am worried about - it's the axles. |

BTW - the shop I was working with made this video of the TWM shifter rattling. TWM swears it doesn't rattle - not true.
[ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N2tTm8olTe0"]twm shifter rattle - YouTube[/ame] It's funny to hear my car with the Nameless Axelback and no turbo. It has an AVO and a 3" Perrin exhaust now. |
