I'm hedging my bets having placed an official BRZ order and also being 'on the list' at the local Scion dealership - with careful explanations to both that I need to see the respective FSM's before making a final purchase decision. |

+infinity on the .pdf
I did notice that Toyota's 2 day account is far cheaper than Subaru's. |

Jeff, can you possibly use your access to the parts catalog to answer 2 questions?
Does the Canadian version of the car come with a TPMS? (They can be a pain with winter tires, you either live with the warning light or have to pay a dealer to reset it if you have sensors inserted in your winter rims, unless Toyota has used a system like Porsche's which can recognize a second set of wheels.) And what is the diameter of the lug nuts (need a socket head for wheel swapping)? |

The big question for me is, has there been a TSB released that shows "Crash Bolts" for both the Scion on the Subaru.
I haven't been following every new Toyota, but from what I remember most Toyotas (even the Previa) and Scion with struts was noted as being able to use them. (This is important to anyone who wants to run in SCCA solo stock class.) Thanks! Mike |

Thank you, I did find that thread about switching the bolts.
But I'm hoping that Toyota will offer completly different bolts. For example, when I was running my 2nd generation MR2, Toyota had a TSB that allowed you to use any of three different size bolts. I actually ran 2.8 deg negative camber, in the front of the MR2. I was just trying to see if anyone who worked at a dealership had seen anything yet. Thanks, Mike |

No, there isn't anything like that listed yet, and I have a feeling there probably won't be, but I can't say for sure.

Mike,
It is my understanding that Toyota has been putting their 'crash bolt' documentation (probably should really be called camber adjustment bolts) right in the service manual for a while now. You can see a good example in the '05 Scion TC manual over on scionlife: http://www.scionlife.com/tech/manual/?manual=tc05_0001 As Jeff noted, the info in the service manual and also the info that Jeff provided elsewhere (link) that each bolt callout only references one part number seems to indicate we're stuck with relatively little adjustment. However, I'd love to see any info on relatively recent Toyota crash bolt TSB's (for any model) if you've got it! |
