I could have phrased it better, but I agree with enwave that having more power at less than wot would be nice, I would just like to see some data I could compare.
I'm still waiting on my OFH before I try e85, and even then I won't have access to a dyno. I know I could do it on stock manifold, but I have a crappy throttle switch, and even using all the tricks it still takes about 3 weeks after a flash for my throttle to completely recover, which at this point is longer than my estimated delivery date for the OFH (and hopefully ESC). Once I get the system I doubt I'll care about the actual numbers, but since all I can do now Is wait, I have been trying to occupy myself with side projects(cooling duct/2.0dump prep), and data.

Ahh that makes sense then. Basically figure around 20 hp above tuned numbers for e85.

More power below wot would be fairly simple to do with this kit if anyone decided to. Replace the wot switch with a 1-10v dc controller actuated in a linear fashion. Basically for every 10% of throttle travel there is a 1v signal increase being sent to the controller which would regulate outpout voltage to the dc motor in corresponding increments. So if you set it to activate above say 30% throttle you would get 0-100% power to the dc motor between 30-100% throttle. I don't know a great deal about the ESC but given that it is a lot like an RC car motor on steroids I'm sure it is capable of mudulation through varying voltage. Being that this is a low boost system that may not doing any good but, if you were to set it so the ESC comes on 50% duty at 50% throttle and increase to 100% along with throttle that might do some good in this application. Just putting it out there.

Cool idea @KAOS. I imagine Rob has looked into this a little -- might be a cool DIY but I doubt the controller allows for too much modulation in its current form. Wouldn't be surprised if we see something like that someday!

Cool idea for sure but the problem then become tuning and making it run in all situations just as it would stock.

I'm assuming speed density tuning would probably work there -- but software may certainly be the larger half of the challenge.

Do you mean pedal travel or throttle plate?
Pedal travel can be linear but it doesn't correlate with the throttle plate in a linear fashion.
Feeding the TPS into the controller would be a much better bet.

However, you run into the problem of conflicting with the implementation of DR and most likely would require a 3D MAP on the motor controller engine rpm vs TPS vs ESC Boost target.

No need for speed density. Load based with MAF will work fine.

Totally agree. I was just thinking in terms of simplicity. I would imagine some of the speed density setups would work out of the box with DR and everything. I always think MAF is better when available, though. It would just take some time to build out the right maps.

Hey guys,

Rob hasn't told me numbers yet but I think he is ready to send some kits out.

There is still big supply issues, the main one being that he has not received compressor wheels yet. The lead times he is dealing with are not great as I have said before because they are custom made to his spec..... He is usual on a 8 week wait when he orders.

That being said last time I was at his shop he did have housings in and done controllers done.

I can't promise anything as you know because I am not privy to all the stuff he is currently working on. Needless to say he is always working on getting them out as soon as he can
