Income stagnation.
Life expectancy.
Literacy.
Incarceration rate.


We are on the wrong side of the results in most of those categories, or farther from where you would expect us to be. It's rather shocking when you think about it, but it really enforces the fact that were not #1 at a lot of stuff that matters. We are #1 in defense spending though. In fact we spend more than the next 14 highest spenders combined, and 12 of them are our undisputed allies.

We are also one of three countries that use the metric system ofically...Liberia and Myanmar are the other two. Sweet!
