America's elitism is just unbelievable
 

How can some people make the definitive claim that America is the #1 nation when our kids and adults are so mediocre? I'm not saying that America can't be #1 for other reasons, but with the way some people talk about us being at the top, you'd think that other countries were all 3rd world with people living in caves.

LOL. A better headline would be, "Journalists don't know shit about testing and how little results mean". The amount of manipulation that goes on with these international tests makes them pitiful jokes. The complete lack of importance of their results makes them even more worthless. You can now relax, secure in the fact that America is still kickass.

Canadian universities have had to change their acceptance requirements due to constant high numbers of foreign students turning out to have rigged their grades, or coming from schools that rig all grades.

Started with basic grades being ridiculously high, but students being mediocre.

Changed to grades plus essays on why you want to enter the program. Started getting fantastic essays in English, yet for some reason the students couldn't replicate them in school... Because no goddamn English.

Memory based exams don't show whether or not people can actually think for themselves. We have a Chinese educated 'engineer' at work. Has a fantastic ability to calculate force of pneumatic cylinders off the top of his head. However can't tell if it's mounted in the wrong direction even when shown by three people...
