If you are to believed it would be clutch throw away bearings failing. It isn't. Your argument has failed why keep flogging the dead horse?

You are still at it? Yes, I took a manual driving school. My test was also on a manual. Please stop this. You are making people hate you.

Out of interest, the dead pedal is more there for the purpose of having something to push against to stabilize yourself in the seat. Something that isn't too far removed from the pedals. The passenger can push themselves back into the seat for stability by pushing their feet on the floor. If you have your feet on the clutch and accelerator, you can't push yourself into the seat or have anyway to stabilise yourself for comfort. This use is quite good, but on the public road you should never need it. You often see rally drivers use it this way for example.

It also makes a convenient foot rest so that you don't ride the clutch and wear it out in 60,000 miles.

If you are that near the limit on public road you will get pulled, points on your license and nasty fine or probably banned if you don't kill someone first.

Alternatively if you are just doing it cause it's cool, then you are wasting brain cycles that could otherwise be used for observation and hazard awareness.
By that logic, we should all drive automatics to save brain cycles that are wasted by using a clutch and selecting the proper gear.

Late to the party. Heel-toe is not necessary in street driving, but neither is it dangerous - not all heel-toe has to be done at the limit. I heel-toe low speed turns because I want the practice and because it smooths out the turn - my rev match for such turns will not go above 3k rpm.

As for the whole clutch positioning argument, while the driving culture and skill level varies by country, the engineering does not. Riding the clutch is bad - don't take it from North American - watch some Best Motoring videos as they always show what the drivers are doingnwith their feet. They do not ride the clutch.

I didn't post this because I got bored, but "Riding the clutch", the only definitions I can find on the inter-web is pressing the clutch enough to cause it to slip, which if you do a lot WILL feck your clutch, eventually.

I can sit on CC with my foot resting on the clutch when the switch that disconnects the CC is long before the clutch will slip.

For a laugh I tried taking my foot off the clutch after each change and it looked like a monty python silly walk sketch. Total fecking joke unless you are either cruising or not changing gear enough. Out of a junction, 1st, foot off, foot back on 2 seconds later 2nd, foot off, foot back on 3 seconds later, 3rd, foot back off, braking 2-3 seconds later for a roundabout foot back on, 2nd, foot off. Totally idiotic.

You're supposed to be watching where you're going, not laughing at your feet.
