seat positioning
Hello,
I noticed that you can't really adjust the height of the front part of the seat (where your knees are above). So when I'm driving, my knees are kind of floating above the seat -- this restricts my clutch/heal-toe movements a little. Does anyone know a way to make it so that your butt sits a little bit lower than your knees would? Thanks! |

There is a vertical height adjustment lever for the driver's seat. Its the one infront of the seatback angle adjusment. "Pump" it down to lower the seat. Does that fix your problem?

Well the whole seat goes down, front and back. If he lowers it enough his knees should no longer be floating. Sacrifices a bit of forward visibility though.

Find a reputable upholstery company, and see if they can modify the seat to have more foam under that portion. A few members have already done something similar.
That is the one gripe I have about the BRZ's seat, too, and I will absolutely be looking for a fix when I get mine. I'm used to having seats with a rake adjustment and having my knees floating over the seat drives me nuts! Not to mention it being a safety concern. I just dropped an e-mail to Subaru mentioning this; who knows, maybe they'll correct it some point down the road!

I fit in it just fine and I'm 6' 2"... There are people who are 6' 5" and fit fine. My only gripe is the lack of rake adjustment in the driver's seat. I'm used to my MR2 which has a nicely-raked Recaro seat, and my S4 which had 12-way adjustable sport seats. I don't like feeling like I'm going to submarine out of my seat because my knees aren't supported.
