Pretty as they are, you can still see the entry and exit marks left by the end mill they used, so to me, it's like a "Why waste the time?" moment.

Other than that, beautiful piece ^_^ Not really sure what the hell it's for, but it's pretty XD

I'm not a machinist, but I believe the end mill size can't be any larger than the diameter of the corners. In the recesses, there are 4 or 5 spots around the center circle that have angles of greater than 90 degrees, any size larger and those corners would blow out the side or into the circle. If they wanted fewer passes, then after they did the outline, they would have to retool, which would take more time than the extra passes.

either way, It looks pretty cool. I haven't noticed a leak on mine "yet", but it's nice to know I have options if/when I do have one.

I bet you are 1000% correct. BUT, again, over 90-99% of people will not notice/care/understand this, so it's all good.

They are a bit different with a slight edge going to nameless to me both in price and design (I love how you don't have to use RTV with the nameless part)

Not being one of the "masses" is actually a compliment.....

But what I say is just true. People in general do not care about the intricate details. They just want to get it, set it and forget it.

Don't worry, I took it as a compliment, my sarcasm was a little too subtle. I like making things, and I appreciate the work that goes into things others have made.

You were right in what you were saying BTW However, retooling in the case of CAM is a nothing step; pick a different tool, re-run the program and you're done (Obviously you need to physically change the tool in the holder but that too is a nothing step).

All I was saying is that it's a lot of wasted time. If you guys are willing to pay for the time that piece spends on a machine (Because I promise you are), be my guests. I love how people on this board have blinders on to ANYTHING that isn't directly related to their own way of thinking, to the point that they feel the need to be sarcastic and nasty when someone brings up something they may not have noticed.
