[QUOTE=Kayysonie;1811745]This looks more fun and I am planning to do it before I sell my baby. Which she suffered a minor accident today. Damn road rocks and debris.

I also have a chip that turned into a huge crack from this weekend. X(
Will have to replace the whole windshield soon, because it is already half way across the window; the chip is on the far edge of the driver's side, and isn't all that big.

I'm getting it fixed with Safelite today but the weather isn't permitting it. I'm afraid if I keep driving and just hit a huge bump a Crack will develop.

I am hearing a ratting sound when I coast from around 50mph to 25mph and generally in neutral. I see this issue is being discussed on the thread below but no one from subaru/toyota seems to have found a fix yet. Have any of you faced this issue? If yes and you have found a fix, solace that it might develop into something big, please let me know. Here is a link of the video of another owner facing the same issue.

That was me, not the best run event...but it was fun. Was that your Red FR-S? Looks very clean....I like it.

I've had the same size chip/crack for a few months now...I drive like an A-hole several hundred miles per week, hasn't turned into a crack yet.

And I agree that the breaks leave a lot to be desired the stop tech upgrade kit is great for the n/a cars without having to shell out the cash for a big break kit.

Sent from my Q10
Neons are a ton of fun at Waterford Hills:

My Spec Neon does about the exact same lap time as the FR-S if they're on similar tires. (BFG Rivals on the FR-S, Toyo R888 for the Neon)

I've done 1'22.0xx on with the FR-S, before shocks/wheels, using stock calipers and Stoptech 309 pads.
Neon has done 1'20.5xx on Hoosier R6's

On street tires, N/A I can't really see the FR-S/BRZ needing a big brake kit just to run Waterford though, a set of pads should be more than sufficient.

Its weird, because I had a car that took about two years to crack (chip was too big to fill), but even once it did crack, it took several months to crack the whole windshield.

Meanwhile, the tiny ass chip I got the other night left a 16inch crack in a matter of hours (since it was dark, I didn't notice the chip, so not sure about the progression).

wtf -_-
lol

Seriously... The chip is so small, I'm not even sure how long it would have taken me to notice it.

Yeah thanks that was me. And nice job on those runs on Sunday. Have you done anything to your car besides the wheels, suspension and exhaust?

I also got a few pics of your car if you're interested. Especially like the one where you're taking out the timing cone

It sucks Toyobaru uses a thinner windshield apparently. All Honda's I had before this car never chipped or cracked on anything and I hear the rocks pelting even with a loud music is on. The Honda windshield is like shielded by a magical force field. Not even a tiny one crack developed.

My BRZ had two small ones near the rearview mirror already so i do not see it and this one I recently got is a bit bigger thats why I only got it fixed.

Damn roads. my bumper is taking a beating and a lot of paint chips but I do not bother since its plastic and replaceable. Now my hood and side panels...im just glad they are still flawless. *knocks on wood*

I was starting to wonder if the windshield was thinner, because a friend of mine just said he was already on his third windshield.
Well... that is certainly obnoxious.
My bumper has a few tiny tiny dents from rocks, but I haven't seen an paint chips yet. Hoping it stays that way for a looooong time.

Wow, impressive photography work. I definitely destroyed that finish....

I see I apparently hit a cone on the run before that too...hopefully that wasn't my second/fastest run with the cone.

Thanks for the picturs, much appreciated.

So are there any good driving roads in SE Michigan? Downriver kinda sucks. I'm near Dearborn. Just kind of a suburban hell in every direction.

I would guess that near the lakes in bloomfield area there'd be something. I just don't want to have to drive an hour to then begin enjoying it :P

I'm lucky enough to have the round abouts near M5 and Commerce on my way to and from work.... No driveways, residents, or businesses back there...just brand new roads, and round abouts. The roads around Orchard Lake are destroyed from the winter.

I'm looking to sell my UniChip. I switched to ECUTek and would prefer selling local if anyone is interested. I had really good luck with it and it is in very good shape. Let me know if you're interested!
