yup, my 02 IS 300's bumper was pockmarked with little knicks from driving and the paint scraped off real easy when I rubbed it along a pole holding up my car port. It's not just "Subaru paint" that's soft/thin.

Rich took a stop by my work today and touched it up a bit, doesn't look half bad now, still needs a little bit of touchup paint to cover the nick, but doesn't look like the gouge it did before.

Also sshole, I realize this, but one step at a time and the opti-coat will make the car look nicer than just a bra

That's debatable. Some of the opticoated cars can tend to look a little off on the color and finish. A good clear bra install with good quality film and people don't even know it's on the car.

I'm glad I was able to make it look a bit better for you. I was able to remove the bit of plastic that transferred to the bumper upon impact, but there's still the small chip that needs to be touched up. I'll take care of that when we get together and Opti-Coat the car

Your front bumper will not look better if you Opticoat vs clear bra. Clear bra will prevent rock chips. Opticoat will not. There's no debating this.
