So, I assume that Canadian is almost close up to Europeans grade.
For your convenience, I bought my right mirror body (excluded painted WRB cover, lower side external cover and mirror) when I damaged it (totaled) last summer. I paid in Italy Eur 406.00+ VAT (22%)...., so Eur 495.32 ($673.72)....The price is for unit. The body contains itself motor assembly and all you need.

It isn't cheaper and I know that you can buy in Germany by www.teile-profis.de with no VIN need and for a cheaper price (German price is lower about 30% of Italian one).
As it isn't cheaper verify that you ECM can manage wiring. If you wish I will find parts numbers of mine and I detail you to arrange your BRZ.

How do I verify ECM ?

Also how much will the door mirror control unit cost ?

Thanks

you mean remote? on door panel? I assume you must change door unit cover..I don't know exactly...I know that Japanparts sells this part.
About ECM you must see if wiring is in your door inside harness...if not you need to set a wiring in ECM.
You can find infos on "BRZ Manual download" here in techs section of forum and compare it to your wiring to see if harness is there.

this is the european panel. So ucsmfu you need only EU mirror switch and EU mirror body unit (heated and retractable), EU door panel cover.

@Trap63, do you have the part numbers for those? I'm also interested in retro fitting this on my Canadian version.

Thanks!

So, I think that upgrade can be done. Only issue is to verify IF door main wiring harness is the same of european/japanese grade with all pins populated. I can give you euro/jpn part id of harness based on my VIN , you need to verify/compare to your one on EPC USA/CAN as I get only the Euro EPC Subaru and it doesn't recognize VIN number outside EEC. About parts you need the two euro body mirror unit - heated - (eur 290,00 x2 without taxes), panel cover switch and remote mirror switch (eur 100/140). www.teile-profis.de (you can switch in US Eng) sells these parts online but for Can/USA you must ask to estimate sending charges and require no taxation for export outside EEC, as in Germany VAT is 20%.

Do you mean these 2 harnesses? Look for "unplug the door's wiring harness" in the first post.

yes! door main wiring and subsequent harness. Maybe the canadian wiring could be the same as the european/japanese one.
Here the diagram and cost (european grade - my VIN - driver is LH).

EUROPEAN cord door driver (LH) is 81820CA020

Hey voyager2285, I noticed that your also located in Vancouver, BC. Are you in the ft86van club ?

Have you looked into the cost for the folding mirrors yet ?

Thanks

not properly. you need to verify if cord id is the same for your grade, if not it's probably that some pins aren't populated coming from ECM and euro body mirrors don't operate.
Sometimes some parts are the same and only marketing sets some features off.
