Door Mirror Auto system (prod no. H2717CA000) for BRZ

Upon my request NOW available @ Japanparts.com the genuine door mirror auto module.
Warn! This option fits ONLY the BRZ with close/open option for door mirror (heated and not), only the Grade S and R. You must have the switch OPEN/CLOSE on car door inside panel.

so if you have a US BRZ limited would these be a simple swap???

Trap63 11-07-2013 03:36 PM

I don't know exactly the american features of US model, but this module runs only if you get:

a) motorized close/open door mirror (heated or not) with internal switch and centralized close /open door system

BRZ grade R or S , I don't know what means as in Italy Subaru sells only one Type of BRZ (only 6MT) with full optional except seats on alcantara/leather, but we have all features of Japan S (High).

Available too at http://autostyle-usa.com, ask for Andy. I have had a long afternoon with high level support, better than Japanparts. Ask for him. He knows now all and I buy this morning from AutoStyle.

About wiring it's simple: you must enjoy the twin harness and wire the remaining long black wire to key door.

It seems that you can on Limited USA!!!

I know that the mirror for fitting this module is this type you see here. we get it, in Europe, as Standard (open/close). You need to verify if indoor door mirror harness can provide right (enough) pin. You should open the door panel and examine the harness.

As soon as AutoStyle USA will send me the module I'll do a DIY providing all details of harness.

I will be opening up my door to install the speaker knee pads. Could you direct me to what module or wires that I am looking for ? Thanks

I'd really hope this will work for North American versions. However after seeing the price for the module, I cannot believe it will include the motors and everything that we need to retro-fit the powered mirror fold. It sounds more like interface that allows the mirror to trigger the fold on ignition.

If you have this power mirror , the module does not fit for you! you need the version with switch to open/close

The Australian models have this, or at least the GTS model. So how does it trigger the mirrors to close automatically? When you turn the car off? When the doors are locked?

I suppose that the main operating status could be on door lock/unlock as you must wire to it.

yeas, that's right!
But the picture on site is taken from Japanese STI folder.
I see that many spare parts or options (JDM) aren't described so well. I tried about 4 months to install twin foot lamp without help and only Auto-Style USA gives me some directions to try. I googled (copy&paste word to word for translating to english) one full day on Japanese sites and there I found solution...but it was very difficult (only Japanese).
It seems that nobody in Japan would share informations outside their clubs/forums......and Japanese is very complex.
Nice Cars, Nice Country...but a community not so open to others outside Japan.

Good to see if you have found the part number.

Yeah, the long black wire splices into the red wire going into the door lock module. The install takes around 5 minutes if you know what you are doing.
